Summary: Is it just teenage hormones or more that brings Summer and Cameron closer together?  Also, a new visitor arrives just in time for Summer's birthday.

Swaying in the hammock in the backyard, Cameron casually played with Summer’s blond curls.  She smiled and snuggled closer, loving how he felt beside her.  Hearing her son gurgle something, she leaned up slightly to look over at him.  Jamie remained on his blanket, chewing on a toy, while her mother lounged nearby, half-supervising the baby, half-supervising the pair.  Satisfied that her son was fine, Summer laid back down.  Cameron’s fingers returned to playing with her hair.

“Summer?” he spoke softly.

“Mmmmm, yes?”

“Have you given any thought to what you want to do for Spring Break?”

“No, not really.”

“I suppose we could go up to L.A. and you could spend the week with your dad,” he commented.

“Or we could just stay here and fuck all week,” she whispered.

Cameron gasped slightly, “Summer…”

“Or we could do that in your apartment in L.A.”

“My roommate…”

“He can watch,” she responded teasingly.

Forgetting her mother was not far away, Cameron pulled her completely on top of him, somehow managing to not tip the hammock.  He squeezed her close and kissed her deeply.  As his hands settled on her butt, squeezing her cheeks and pressing her even closer, he knew she felt the very reaction her words caused.  Smiling, Summer continued to kiss him passionately, grinding slightly against him.  She did not care that her mother could easily glance over at them.

But he suddenly remembered Adele’s presence and eased Summer out of the kiss, “Baby…”

“Yes?” she leaned back down and kissed him before he could stop her.

“Your mom…”

“She’s not paying any attention to us.”

“But…”

“She’s not,” she kissed him again before carefully slipping back to his side, though her leg remained draped between his, pressed against the bulge in his jeans.

He swallowed hard, “Well… if you don’t know what you want to do for Spring Break, what do you want to do for your birthday next week?  It is on Saturday so…”

“Cam?” she softly kissed his neck.

“Your… birthday…” he tried to keep focus, though her leg shifted slightly against him.

“Let’s go inside,” Summer stated.

Cameron shook his head, “We can’t.”

“Why not?”

“I kinda…” he flushed dark red.

“What?” she kissed his blushing cheek.

“…can’t walk right now,” he muttered.

Summer giggled softly, discreetly reaching down to grope him, “Then I’ll go make some iced tea while you… relax.”

He groaned, whimpering slightly when she climbed over him, pausing to kiss him quickly.  Squeezing his eyes closed, Cameron did not watch her walk away.  Instead, he tried to focus on anything but sex and her body pressed against his.  He zeroed his attention in on her conversation with her mother, completely amazed she could converse so casually a moment after rubbing his erection.

Venturing to open his eyes a few minutes later, his body relaxed enough he could hide his previous arousal, Cameron slowly sat up and stood without tipping the hammock.  He glanced where Adele and Jamie had been, not the least bit surprised they too had returned to the house.  Taking a deep breath, he too headed into the house.  His surprise at Summer’s normalcy continued, as he found her in the kitchen, making dinner.

Stealing up himself, Cameron entered the room, plopping in a chair near Jamie’s high chair, “What’s cookin’ good looking?”

Summer glanced over her shoulder, paused what she was doing and quickly poured him iced tea, “Just making some pasta.”

“Yum,” he grinned before sipping the tea.

Quickly stealing a kiss before turning back to her boiling pot, Summer grinned, “I know you love it.”

“Where’s your mom?” he asked, offering Jamie another cube of cheese.

“Oh she ran to the store for some bread,” she responded, glancing at him. “Want a quickie before she gets back?”

Cameron instantly flushed, feeling his body react to her words, “Um…”

“Kidding.  How’s Jamie’s juice?”

He looked at the sippy cup, “Um… okay, I think.”

She chuckled, “Add a bit more water to it, will you?  I’m almost done here.”

Adele returned home with the fresh bread a few minutes later and the three adults settled around the table for dinner.  More adventurous with food every day, Jamie mashed fewer pasta pieces into his tray than he put in his mouth.  Chuckling, Cameron scooped the boy out of his chair while Adele washed the dishes.  Summer quickly cleaned off Jamie’s high chair before seeking out the boys.  Knowing the routine, Cameron knelt beside the bathtub while Jamie splashed around, giggling.  For a long moment, Summer leaned on the doorframe, watching the two of them.

“You know, if I didn’t know better…”

Cameron pivoted slightly, meeting her eyes, “What?”

“Nothing,” she shook her head, still smiling.

“Mommy!” the little boy squealed and splashed more.

“You let Cameron help you with your bath and then we’ll do our bedtime story, okay, big guy?”

“Mommy!” he giggled and splashed again.

An hour later, Cameron tucked a dozing Jamie into his bed and carefully slipped out of the boy’s room.  Noticing Adele sitting in her room reading, he headed down the hallway to the living room.  He joined Summer on the sofa, leaning over to reach for the remote and stealing a quick kiss.  She giggled and quickly cuddled up to him, letting him choose whatever they watched.  Half an hour later, she heard her mother’s bedroom door close.

Stretching up, Summer kissed the corner of Cameron’s mouth.  Smiling, he turned to her, returning the kiss.  Not allowing him to object, she quickly pivoted and straddled his lap while reaching for the remote.  Summer clicked off the television and tossed the remote aside.

“Now can I…?”

“What?” Cameron whispered.

Her lips touched him, “Do all the things I was thinking about earlier?”

He swallowed, “Like?”

With a smile, she kissed him again and reached between them to gently grope him.  Cameron groaned softly, his arms quickly circling her in a tight embrace.  He pulled her close, inadvertently trapping her hand and stopping her motions.  Yet that was likely a good thing; it gave him a better chance of controlling the situation.  So he kept her pressed close while they kissed deeply, feeling her breasts flatten against his chest.

“Cam,” she muttered before kissing towards his ear, “touch me.”

He whimpered, “Summer…”

She nibbled on his ear, “Please.”

His hands moved down her back and squeezed her butt, “Summer, let’s…”

“Yes?” she sucked on his earlobe.

Cameron hissed, “Go to your room.”

Without verbally responding, Summer climbed out of his lap and held out her hands.  Once his hands were in hers, she tugged gently and pulled him to his feet.  They quickly kissed before she turned towards the bedroom, clicking off the lights as they proceeded.

Once in her bedroom and the door closed, Summer did not feel as if they could get naked quickly enough.  She peeled off his shirt and her dress before pushing him down onto the bed.  Cameron chuckled as her fingers deftly unfastened his belt and jeans.  A few quick tugs and he was as naked as she.  Smiling she kissed his mouth briefly before leaving a trail of kisses down his body.  Before he could object, her lips closed around his cock and she began to suck.

Moaning, Cameron’s hands dug into the blanket underneath him.  His hips instinctively pressed up slightly, meeting her mouth with tiny thrusts of his own.  Summer pulled off his cock and licked his shaft as her fingers gently squeezed and massaged his swollen balls.  Glancing up at him through her long eyelashes, she grinned before sinking her mouth back down upon him.  He gasped as the tip of his cock popped into the back of her throat.  Summer quickly intercepted his hands as he reached to pull her off.  Groaning, he pressed his head back into her pillow as she bobbed up and down, swallowing a bit more of him with each downward stroke.

Having never been that deep in Summer’s throat before, or really anyone’s, it was not long before Cameron’s body tensed.  As the tension built in his lower abdomen, he gripped her hands, squeezing tightly.  A soft grunt passed his lips before his body arched up towards her.  Summer slowly began to pull up, but kept her lips fastened around his crown as his cock continued to sputter.  Once she no longer felt his erotic spasms, she pulled up completely, licked his shaft twice, and sat up.

“Summer… I’m sorry,” he muttered, reaching for her.

Showing him her tongue to prove she swallowed, she smiled and leaned down, kissing him softly, “What for?”

“I… you…” he mumbled.

She kissed him again, “You just owe me now.”

He smiled and kissed her deeply.  A bit awkwardly, Cameron shifted their position in the small bed.  With Summer now laying in the center of the bed, onto of the sheets instead of the blanket, he paused to look over her body.  Even in the mostly darkness of her bedroom, he could still make out every beautiful curve of her body.  From the plump roundess of her breasts, tipped with pebble-hard dark pink nipples, to the gentle curve of her hips, slightly wider from childbirth, to the small mass of short, dark curls glistening with dewdrops of arousal beckoned his touch, his kiss.  For a long moment, Cameron was at a loss where to start.  She sighed softly, adjusting slightly on the bed, drawing his attention to her mouth.

Once more Cameron kissed her cherry lips.  His hands roamed and cupped her breasts, a small smile teasing his lips as she moaned and her nipples hardened slightly more.  As he dipped down to suckle and nibble on her breasts, Summer’s hips wiggled beneath him, rubbing her pubic mound against his still-soft penis.  His hands wandered lower, caressing her belly and hips, before finally parting her legs to pet her sex.  She moaned and pleaded softly for him to touch her.  He smiled against her breast again as his thick fingers easily slipped into her wet body.

Summer planted her feet flat against the bed and slightly arched up, forcing his fingers deeper into her.  Chuckling, Cameron quickly kissed her mouth before sliding down her body.  He pumped two fingers in and out of her while his tongue teased her clitoris.  She moaned, burying her hands in his hair, and softly begged him for more.  Though he was once more beginning to thicken, he kept his attention on bringing her pleasure first and foremost.  He added a third finger and began to suck on her swollen bud.

Feeling her orgasm build, Summer pressed up from the bed.  Cameron released her breast to press her hips back down, yet quickened his thrusting hand.  Her moans quickly became gasps; her fingers clutched his hair tighter.  Suddenly she went completely rigid, her sexual muscles clenching down on his fingers.  Cameron slowed his fingering, but did not stop.  His lips left her sex to meet her hungry mouth.  Only then did he pull his fingers out of her throbbing and oozing body.

She quickly reached down and guided his newly formed erection towards her entrance.  He moaned into the kiss as she rubbed his tip around her wet sex, so needing to be buried deeply in her heat.  Pushing forward slightly, his wet tip parted her petals, barely pressing into her.  Summer moaned and arched upwards, completely sheathing him within her quivering warmth.

Two strokes deep inside her and Cameron realized he had not put a condom on.  With a quick kiss, he quickly withdrew and reached for the nightstand.  Summer whimpered but did not object as he dug out one of the last condoms, tore open the package and quickly rolled it on.  He kissed her once more and caressed her breasts before easing back into her.

With her legs wrapped tightly around him, Summer moaned and groaned.  They rolled once, allowing her to ride him as fast and hard as she wanted.  His fingers held hers as she grinded on him to a second orgasm.  Pulling her down into a kiss, Cameron rolled them back over and thrust into her still quivering body.  His thrusts coupled with her squeezing quickly ushered a third orgasm for her, a second for him.

Showering her face with kisses while he pulsed inside of her, Cameron whispered, “I love you, sexy.”

She smiled, “I love fucking you too.”

He chuckled and carefully pulled out, rolling and turning away to remove the condom, “You know that’s not what I meant.”

Sitting up, she kissed his shoulder, “But you meant it too.”

Tying off the condom and wrapping it in a tissue, he tossed it away before turning back to Summer and kissing, “You know I do.  But I do really love you.”

She smiled, “I know.  I really love you too.”

Cameron carefully guided her back down onto the bed and pulled the blanket over the two of them, “Summer…?”

“Yes, sweetie.”

“I…”

She kissed him and cuddled as close as possible, “Me too, Cameron.  Me too.”

Entering the house with her bag slung over her shoulder and a secretive smile on her lips, Summer wandered through the rooms, looking for her son and mother.  Finding the house empty, she headed out to the backyard.  She expected to find her son playing with his toys in the shade, while her mother read nearby.  Instead, Jamie giggled as he chased Audrey around on the grass.  She blinked and rubbed her eyes twice, not entirely sure she was seeing her best friend and son.

“Audrey?” she muttered softly.

The brunette scooped up the young boy and turned around, grinning, “Well if it isn’t Miss Suzie High School.”

Without pause, Summer embraced her best friend and son all at once.  As she pulled out of the embrace, Jamie clung to her.  Chuckling, she accepted her son from her best friend, giving him noisy kisses until he giggled and wiggled to be put down again.

“I… I wasn’t expecting you,” she declared, heading over to a pair of patio chairs with Audrey.

The brunette eased herself into a chair next to Summer, “I probably should have called first, but…”

Her blue eyes settled on her friend’s thicker waist.  Trying to convince herself that it was just due to the large concert shirt Audrey wore, she turned her attention to her friend’s face.  Summer did not speak, trying to read the other girl’s eyes.

“It’s okay that you didn’t,” she finally responded, smiling slightly. “That’s what best friends are for.”

“I’m so… relieved.  I didn’t know where to go.  Paul kicked me out and I couldn’t go home and… when we last talked…”

“No, no, it’s fine,” she reached for Audrey’s hand, briefly glancing over while Jamie pushed one of his large trucks around the sandbox. “But I have to ask…”

“Yes, I’m pregnant,” Audrey stated plainly.

Summer’s face remained blank.  She as not entirely sure how to respond.  Was this a good thing?  Was Audrey happy to be pregnant with some guy’s baby?  Who was the father?  What was she going to do with a baby?

“…how far along are you?” she asked cautiously.

“About three months.  I’m due in July,” she responded.

“The baby’s father…”

“Paul didn’t take it too well.  He wanted me to get an abortion.  I told him… after I called you a few weeks ago.  We fought and… he went back to his wife,” she explained.

Summer blinked, “Where have you been since then?”

“I stayed with a couple of the girls in New York for awhile, trying to figure out what to do.  They just wanted to party and didn’t understand that I didn’t so… I pulled everything together I could and… here I am.”

Remaining silent for a few long moments, Summer tried to process her best friend’s information.  She could not believe that Audrey would be so foolish after all these years.  Additionally, she had not thought Audrey to be in love with the KISS band member, so to allow herself to get pregnant…

“You can stay here as long as you want,” Summer blurted out.

“Really?” her eyes brightened.

She nodded, “Yes, of course.  You can stay with me and Jamie as long as you want to, as long as you need.”

Audrey jumped up and quickly embraced Summer, “Oh thank you, thank you, thank you.”

Summer hugged her back, “It’s what best friends do.”

“I really don’t…”

Kissing her forehead, Summer motioned her to sit back down, “We’ll have to find you a doctor.  And… a story, I suppose.”

“A story?”

“Well yeah… I’m a high school girl… Jamie is my brother…”

Audrey wiggled her nose slightly, “Your knocked up hick cousin?  I do have a Texan twang after all.”

Summer grinned, “I think that will work just fine.  We’ll have to get you a bed, but it’ll have to wait for this weekend.  You can sleep in mine and I’ll sleep on the couch and—”

“No!” she interjected. “I’m not taking your bed.  I’ll sleep on the couch.”

“Nonsense,” she declared. “You’re pregnant.  You are not sleeping on the couch.”

“Um…”

“What?”

“Couldn’t we just both…?”

Summer stared at her, blinking.

“Stay in your bed?”

“…until this weekend, I suppose so.”

Audrey grinned again, “Thank you. Thank you so much, Summer.”

Sitting around the dinner table later that evening, Summer laughed as Audrey piled a second helping of everything onto her plate.  Jamie did not understand why his mother was laughing, but quickly erupted into baby giggles as well.  Grinning, he tossed a handful of grapes at Audrey.  She quickly admonished him, though could not conceal her smile.  The boy instantly threw the rest of his grapes at his godmother.

“James Patrick,” Summer warned.

Mouth open, he turned to his mother.  Before he could mutter anything to her, his eyes focused behind her.  Confused, Summer pivoted in her chair.

“DADDA!” Jamie shouted, wiggling in his chair.

“Dadda?” Audrey muttered softly.

“Hey, Cam,” Summer smiled and pulled the chair out next to her. “Join us.”

Smiling the young man sat next to her, quickly kissed her cheek, and turned his attention across the table, “Hello, Audrey.  Summer didn’t mention you were visiting.  How long are you here for?” he asked casually as Adele filled his plate.

“Um…indefinitely.”

“Oh?  Maybe you can get her to tell you what she wants for her birthday then.  She won’t tell me a thing,” Cameron stated.

Audrey’s eyes widened, “That’s right!  Your birthday is coming up… soon, isn’t it?”

“Saturday,” he declared as Summer rolled her eyes.

Audrey gasped, “We only have three days to plan a party!”

“I don’t want a party,” Summer quickly interjected. “Who would you invite?  Our high school friends?  What if Jamie calls me ‘Mommy’ or Cameron ‘Dadda’?  We could never pull that off.”

“But—”

“No party,” she stated strongly, offering her son another ravioli.

“Then what are we going to do?” Audrey asked.

“I don’t care.  Just no party,” she repeated.

Audrey looked at Cameron, who just shrugged before biting into a piece of bread.  Focusing on her plate for a moment, she quickly tried to come up with some plan for Summer’s birthday.  She had to do something special, especially since Summer had basically offered her home and support to her without question.  She would come up with something… she hoped.

Getting up from her seat in the backyard, Audrey headed back into the house to refill drinks.  She was a bit disappointed in herself, as she really did not think the small family party was enough for Summer’s twentieth birthday.  However, her best friend seemed happy with just spending time with her and Cameron’s families.  Maybe it was enough for her, even if it was not glamorous enough for Audrey.

She glanced out the window as she filled two glasses with iced tea.  Noticing Summer and Cameron were no longer outside with their families, she frowned.  The baby bounced on Bob’s knee while he chatted with James, Cameron’s father, and Adele happily chatted with Alice Marie.  While part of her noticed how seamlessly the families blended together, the other part was more concerned about the birthday girl’s location, especially since she was hoping for cake and presents soon.

Leaving the glasses on the kitchen counter, Audrey figured she would check the house for the missing couple first.  She smiled at the thought of the two best friends being a couple.  Sure, they claimed they were only pretending to be, but she knew the truth.  She had found a mostly empty box of condoms in Summer’s nightstand and an empty wrapper on the floor.  If they were just pretending, they certainly had her fooled.

As soon as that thought crossed her mind, Audrey stopped her search for the two.  Maybe Summer was getting her birthday sex early in the day, while her son was occupied.  Audrey would hate to interrupt that.  Smirking to herself, she turned to head back out to the backyard.  As she crossed the living room, the front door opened and the couple stepped in.

“Where did you guys go?” Audrey asked, her eyes flicking to the paper bag in Cameron’s arms.

“Ice cream,” he smiled. “Forgot to pick it up on my way over.  Figured Summer should pick it herself anyways, so we ran out quickly.”

“Ah, of course,” she nodded, reaching for the bag.

Cameron refused to give it up, “Why don’t you two head back outside and I’ll take care of this?”

Finding that odd but not about to argue with him, Audrey smiled and led Summer back to the backyard.  A few minutes later, Cameron carried a cake and a tub of ice cream out to the patio.  Adele instantly jumped up and relieved him of his burden, declaring it her responsibility to handle those things.  Though he protested slightly, Cameron relinquished cake duty and sat next to Summer.  Thinking no one watched them, he quickly leaned over and kissed her, making her grin.  Shaking her head, Audrey smiled as well before pulling Jamie up into her lap.

After cake and ice cream, which Jamie ate mostly with his hands, Summer opened her gifts.  Her son giggled and clapped every time she tore the wrapping paper, apparently finding it hilarious that his mother would rip paper.  She thanked everyone profusely for the presents, blushing slightly when Cameron kissed her blatantly.

His parents remained for another drink before saying their good nights and heading to the front door.  Adele scooped up sleepy and sticky Jamie, intending to bathe him and tuck him into bed while Summer relaxed with her friends for the rest of the night.  Bob escorted Cameron’s parents to the door, thanking them for coming over.

Returning to the patio after Summer had crawled into Cameron’s lap and was nuzzling him, Bob approached the young adults, a large envelope in his hand, “Um, Summer?”

She looked up, “Yeah, Dad?”

“This was on the front step for you,” he held out the envelope.

Sitting up a bit more, she accepted it, “Where did this come from?”

He shrugged and sat down, clearly concerned about it.  She broke the seal and reached in, pulling out a small stack of papers.  Handing the majority of them to Cameron, her eyes focused on the sheet covered with a familiar scrawl.  Though the words were sweet, she did not smile.  Rather she frowned, thrust the paper into Cameron’s hands, and got up, pacing away from the patio.  He quickly skimmed the note before jumping up and following her.

“Summer?” his hand touched her back gently.

She glanced over her shoulder at him, “Cam…”

“It’s a very generous thing for Jimmy to do,” he stated.

She turned to face him fully, “Sure, it was.  But everything Jimmy gives comes with strings attached.  You know very well the fact he bought me a house has large strings attached.  Most notable by the fact it’s in Louisiana, not California.”

“New Orleans is a very beautiful city, very… European.  I’m sure that’s all he was thinking,” Cameron offered.

“He’s trying to get me away from you, Cameron.  That’s what he was thinking.”

“Um… well…”

“I don’t want his house.  I don’t want anything of his,” she blurted out.

“Summer…” he reached for her cautiously.

She quickly stepped forward, into his embrace, “I just want to forget all about…”

He kissed her forehead, “I know, sweetheart.  Let’s just focus on the here and now.  We’ll worry about what to do with Jimmy’s gift tomorrow.”

“I…okay…”

Grasping her hand, he led her back to the cluster of chairs on the patio.  Bob had dutifully packed away the house deed, photographs, and letter from Jimmy, retreating inside the house to discuss it with Adele.  Audrey remained outside, though felt a bit awkward, like she was intruding upon the couple.  As Cameron sat back down, Summer crawled back into his lap.  Even if they attempted to deny it then, Audrey knew they were no longer just pretending to be a couple.  They did not even seem to be hiding it at that moment.

“You know, I can sleep on the couch tonight,” she offered with a wry smile.

“Why?” Summer’s eyes turned to her best friend.

“So the two of you can… you know… get to the birthday sex,” Audrey stated.

Cameron instantly flushed, “I don’t know what you’re—”

“Oh bullshit,” she interrupted. “I saw the nearly empty box of condoms in Summer’s room and an empty wrapper on the floor.  I know you’re fucking.”

“Um… erm…”

“It’s okay, Audrey.  I don’t really feel much like…. it now,” Summer responded softly, getting up again. “I’m going to go say good night to my son.  I’ll be back in a few minutes.”

An awkward silence settled on the patio.  Cameron was still trying to find some way to deny what Audrey claimed, yet he could not as it was the truth.  He fidgeted slightly, not sure what topic to broach for conversation.

“I’m in love with her,” he suddenly blurted out.

Audrey shifted forward on her seat slightly, “Summer?  Of course you are.”

“No, I mean… I’m really in love with her.  When I’m not with her, I can’t think of anyone but her.  When I’m with her…” he looked away.

“It’s okay, Cameron.  You don’t have to feel…bad for loving Summer.”

“But she’s engaged to Jimmy!  And he fathered her son!” he quickly objected.

“Is she wearing his ring?  No.  Do you even know where the ring is?”

Cameron shook his head.

“Neither do I,” Audrey stated.  “And you saw her reaction to Jimmy’s gift.  She doesn’t want him.  She wants you.”

“Um…”

“Oh come on!  When she opened your present, she immediately put the necklace on.  She didn’t do that with anyone else’s gift,” she pointed out.

“I guess…”

“Has she told you that she loves you?”

He flushed again, “Yeah.”

“Well then she does.  So what’s the problem here?”

“She’s engaged to Jimmy,” he repeated. “And when this charade is all over, she’ll go back to him.”

Audrey rolled his eyes, “She won’t if you ask her to stay.”

“Yes, she will.”

“Well then do something about it.”

“Like what?”

“If you’re not going to ask her to stay, you could always…”

“What?”

“Stop using those condoms you bought tonight and knock her up,” Audrey responded with a smirk. “She won’t leave you then.”

He stared at her blankly for a moment, “I could never do that.  A baby is not something you force one someone to make them stay.  It’s something you chose to bring to this world with the one you love.”

“Well you love her, so what’s the diff?”

“I couldn’t do that,” Cameron stated.

“Couldn’t do what?” Summer’s voice interrupted as she returned to the patio.

He shifted on the chair to once more accommodate her as she sat in his lap, “Nothing.  Jamie asleep?”

“Yes,” she nuzzled him slightly. “Mom and Dad went to bed too.”

“I see.”

“What were the two of you discussing?” she asked, glancing at Audrey.

“Me sleeping on the couch tonight,” the older girl instantly responded.

Cameron flushed, “Not exactly…”

“I don’t see why you would need to anyways, Audrey,” Summer stated. “It’s not like the three of us haven’t shared a bed before anyways.”

Cameron’s blush deepened.

Audrey chuckled, “True, but that’s not happening tonight.  The two of you deserve some time alone.  I’ll sleep on the couch.”

“No.  Nonsense,” Summer objected. “You sleep in the bed.  Cameron and I are going to watch the stars for awhile.”

Standing up, the brunette smiled, “You two should do that.  I’ll even grab you a condom if you want.”

Squirming, his face as red as a tomato, Cameron mumbled a “no thank you” before Audrey headed into the house.  She winked once at the couple before disappearing into the house.  Summer pivoted in his lap to meet his eyes.

“What did she mean by tha—”

Cameron quickly kissed her to silence her question, “Nothing.  Should we head to the hammock now?”

She nodded, “Yes please.”

Taking her hand once she vacated his lap, Cameron led her over to the hammock stretched over the cool grass.  Wordlessly he climbed into it, pulling her with him.  She quickly snuggled up against him, her eyes flicking to the dusky sky.  Stretching up to kiss him, she smiled slightly.  She did not need to look up to see stars; all she needed to do was look in his eyes.

“I love you, Cameron.  You’ve made this birthday… perfect… just by being here,” she muttered softly.

He pulled her so that she lay perfectly on top of him, the hammock swaying slightly, “And I love you, birthday girl.  I always have.  I always will.”
