Despite her flirtations, Jimmy had been unable to seduce Summer into phone sex and went to bed frustrated. He woke just angsty and more fired up to get his girl back in his arms. It was not the best mood to go into a concert feeling, especially the first one performed in their home country in years. He needed an attitude adjustment. There were only two things that could change his current mood: drugs and sex. Turning to the former first, he dug out the last of his stash from Cole. He snorted the last two lines, wishing he had a bit more than cocaine, and sat back. He closed his eyes and waited for the powder-driven euphoria to fill his veins.

The blow slowly worked through his body, permeating in his brain and increasing his heart rate. Wiggling his fingers slightly, Jimmy sat fully up. He glanced around the room and noticed everything looked a bit brighter. It would not last long. Two lines hardly did any more, at least of cocaine, but he had no other options currently. He would need to search out a more permanent attitude adjustment, something that would tide him over until he arrived at Earls Court for the concert. He needed sex.

While he could probably make up with Charlotte and have decent makeup sex, he really did not intend to do so. Jimmy had no doubt he could find someone near the venue, but he wanted something a bit more substantial than a quick fuck. Since Summer was out of the question, in fact, her distance being the source of such a need left unfulfilled, he would have to resort to others. Charlotte was a no. Who did he know he could call and seduce her?

A wide smile and pretty blue eyes suddenly filled his thoughts. With a smirk, he picked up the phone and quickly dialed the remembered phone number. Her sweet voice answered and his smirk turned into a smile. She agreed to meet him for tea. With some convincing, she even agreed to come to the hotel for the tea. Things were certainly looking up.

After showering and changing into fashionable attire, Jimmy called housekeeping up to his room to clean it until it sparkled. Everything needed to be perfect. Leaving the housekeepers to do their work, he headed down to the hotel restaurant and left very particular instructions for the tea to be brought to the room. Still running on his high, he paced slightly in the lobby as he waited for her. His dark eyes kept flicking to the entryway every time someone stepped in. It had been nearly an hour since the phone call. His drug high was dying off. He needed company soon.

His heart caught in his throat instantly as she stepped into the hotel lobby. His eyes focused on her as she brushed her long brown hair back from her face and removed her dark sunglasses from her nose. For the eight years he had known her, Jimmy admired her more each time he saw her. She had a certain grace he could not explain, similar to Charlotte’s but not with her European flair. He knew she was high society and well bred, but that did not always translate into such a grace. It always drew him to her.

“Good afternoon, Cadence,” he spoke smoothly as he approached her.

The brunette turned to him and smile, “James, you look… well.”

“You are beautiful,” he commented, lifted her hand to his mouth and kissed it.

She flushed slightly, “Thank you.”

“Shall we go up?”

Cady nodded.

His hand pivoted in hers as he headed towards the elevator, “How is Pete?”

“Ehhh… he’s doing all right. Luckily they’re recording now,” she responded.

“Rough time writing?” he asked as they stepped into the lift.

“You could say that. I hear you are performing at Earls Court,” she commented.

Jimmy glanced sideways at her, “We are.”

“I’ll be there for the third show.”

“Oh?”

“John managed to get us a pair of tickets,” she responded with a wink.

“I would put you on the list, you know,” he stated, stepping out of the elevator.

“Oh I know, but it was meant to be a surprise. Today kinda ruins the surprise,” she teased, walking a step behind him, but still holding his hand.

“For that I apologize, Cadence.”

“I suppose I can forgive you,” she responded, following him into the hotel room. “How was the American tour?”

His heart stopped briefly. Naturally, she would bring up the one thing that could make him feel guilty about his intentions. Instead of saying anything immediately, Jimmy released her hand and closed the hotel room door. As he turned to face her once more, his eyes quickly flicked to the table, confirming that tea had in fact been set while he lingered in the lobby.

“It was all right,” he finally responded. “Shall we have tea?”

“I would love to.”

Jimmy pulled a chair out for her, smiling as she slipped into it. Unable to resist, Jimmy leaned over and kissed temple quickly. She leaned back sharply at the touch. His seduction of Pete Townshend’s wife was going to be more difficult than he expected. He silently headed to his seat across from the small table and poured tea. Her blue eyes remained focused on him as he poured a splash of milk into her cup and then his before dishing out the sugar. She smiled slightly, noting how he remembered exactly how she liked his tea. Jimmy noticed her smile and knew he could work his magic on her.

“How are your children?” he asked, politely offering her a tea sandwich.

“Audrey will start school this fall and I am not sure who is more nervous about it, me or Pete,” she chuckled. “Alec seems to go through clothes twice as fast as his sister did, though that could have something to do with the fact he and Chris roughhouse often.”

“Chris? Did I somehow miss the birth of a third child?”

She shook her head, “No. Chris is John’s son. He spends most every day with me and Alec.”

“What a lucky little boy,” he declared.

“Have you seen Scarlet since you returned?”

“Briefly,” he sipped his tea, “until Charlotte and I had a row.”

“I am sorry to hear that.”

He brushed it off, “Do you have any upcoming shows I can buy out?”

She laughed, “I have a show in New York in about six weeks.”

“Excellent. I should be back in the States then.”

“Oh?”

“Taxes, as you know.”

“Ah,” she nodded.

“Perhaps I can wine and dine you in New York?”

“Unlikely as I will not be traveling alone, James.”

“Your husband?”

She nodded, “And children.”

“Pity,” he paused. “However, we are alone now.”

Cady laughed, “I am not having sex with you, James.”

He blinked, “I did not mean to imply–”

“Of course you did. I have not known you for seven years and not be able to read your intentions.”

“Eight.”

“Excuse me?”

“We met in ’67, which is eight years ago.”

“My point is still the same, James. I am not having sex with you.”

“Of course not,” he finished his cup of tea. “More tea?”

They continued to sip tea and nibble on finger foods as Jimmy attempted to get closer and closer to her. Even with her declaration that she was not going to give into him, he did not believe her. He knew he could seduce her. No one could resist him when he turned the charm on.

Pushing back from the small table, Cady got to her feet and smiled, “It has been nice seeing you again, James. Perhaps we can have tea again before you return to the States.”

“You’re leaving? So soon?” he stood as well.

“As much as Queenie loves my children, Alec’s naptime is nearly over and once he realizes I am not home, he will raise hell,” she stated, finding her purse near the door.

“I wish you would stay longer,” Jimmy stated softly.

Her eyes went to his and she smiled, “You should be heading to the pre-show party anyways, James.”

“I would rather prepare for the show with you.”

She kissed his cheek softly, “Have a good show, James. I shall be at the third one.”

He followed her to the door, his soul plummeting. His seduction failure did not bode well for the rest of the night. He could not let her leave without getting what he wanted. Before her hand closed around the doorknob, Jimmy spun her around and kissed her passionately. Her hands went to his chest and pushed him away.

“Don’t ever do that again,” she hissed and yanked open the door. “Or I will do exactly as Pete wishes and never speak to you again.”

As the door closed behind her, Jimmy growled, reached for a nearby vase, and threw it across the room. The day was starting out horrible. How was he going to make it through the first concert?

Setting down his beer, Robert looked across the table at Bonzo and smirked, “Well today is the start of a whole new world.”

“It’s just another bloody concert, Rob.”

“No, not that. Maureen gets served today,” he stated.

Bonzo motioned for the waitress, “I wish we would.”

“What?”

“Get served. I’m hungry!”

Robert rolled his eyes, “You have to let the cook it, blimey.”

He smirked, “Yeah, I guess. So what are you serving Maureen?”

He blinked silently, staring at his best mate as he finished off his beer.

“Well?”

“Separation papers.”

Bonzo sprayed out his mouthful of beer, “What!?”

“That is the reason I left Summer behind in America. That is why I came back. I have already wasted too much time. The papers will be delivered to her today.”

He wiped his mouth with the back of his hand, “So… that would mean the children aren’t coming to tonight’s show.”

“I… do you really think she will keep the children from me?” he asked quietly.

“Thanks, love,” Bonzo smiled at their server as she placed another beer in front of him and promised food shortly. “Of course I do. What better way to get back at you?”

“Maureen is not vindictive like that.”

“Oh really? And I am sure she did nothing when you shagged her sister.”

“I did not sleep with Shirley.”

“Uh huh.”

“She sucked me off, that’s it.”

The server stopped at their table at that precise moment. She coughed in surprise before setting the dishes in front of the two men and asking if they needed anything else. Bonzo dismissed her while Robert attempted to regain his composure after turning slightly red at the opportune intrusion.

“So Shirley gave you head while in France?”

Robert nodded, “And then expected more once we got back here. Until I banned her from the house.”

“Why? You were getting some and Maureen was apparently okay with it.”

“It doesn’t matter what Maureen is okay with or not. I’m not okay with it. I’m in love with Summer.”

Bonzo finished his second beer, “Did you tell yourself that before or after you came in Shirley?”

“Enough. I am not getting involved with Shirley. Ever. That was a mistake. The only reason I even went to France with Maureen is because she caught me trying to sneak out with the kids.”

He chewed his bite of steak for a minute, “She’s not going to let you see those kids, you know.”

“She will. It’s in the papers.”

“She won’t sign them because of it”

“I think she will. She knows staying together isn’t good for either of us.”

“She loves you. And she’s put up with a lot of shit. She’s not going to let this go without a fight, no matter what you think,” Bonzo declared.

“I’ll do whatever it takes to be with Summer. Whatever it takes.”

His best mate sighed, “This isn’t going to be pretty, Rob. This isn’t going to be pretty at all.”

“Do you think I’m pretty?” her soft voice asked as they stood on the corner across from the New York public library.

Cameron turned fully to face her. His eyes scanned her face, quickly reading what her mouth had not whispered. There certainly was more to her question than what he thought of her appearance. Reaching for her hand, Cameron guided Summer away from the crowd ready to cross the street. Stopping once they were out of the crowd, he reached up with his other hand and brushed her long blond hair from her face. He eyed her carefully, his fingers tracing down to her chin and turning her face side to side.

“No, Summer, I’m sorry to say it: I don’t think you’re pretty,” he stated.

Her bottom lip trembled.

Cameron quickly kissed her nose, “I think you’re beautiful.”

“Really?”

He nodded, “And not just on the outside. You’re beautiful on the inside too.”

“Then why… why does everyone leave me?”

His arms quickly circled her, pulling her close. His lips touched the top of her head as he held her tightly. She softly muttered example after example as she clung to him. Once her complaints went silent, he squeezed her once more.

“I can’t give you those answers, Summer. But I am not leaving you. We’re friends. Best friends even. I will always be here for you.”

“Really?” her big blue eyes went to his.

“Absolutely. Even if I’m not with you, you can call me any time and I will do whatever I can to get to you,” Cameron declared.

Summer instantly embraced him again, “Thank you.”

“It is my pleasure,” he stated. “Do you want to go to the library still?”

She nodded, “I’m tired of being…”

“I know. Let’s go learn to read.”

With Summer feeling better, Cameron led her by hand across the street and into the large library. Her eyes widened as they wandered through the various sections. He whispered to her what each section they passed was, answering any questions she had. Once they toured the entire library, Cameron returned to the children’s area. Quietly assuring her that no one would judge them for choosing children’s books, he selected half a dozen books and headed to check out.

“Do you need money?” she asked softly.

“No, sweetie. We just borrow them from the library,” he explained.

“Really?” her eyes widened again.

“Really, Summer,” Cameron smiled as they got in queue with the others to check out.

With books in their arms, the two friends left the library with their arms linked. Cameron made jokes as they walked the few blocks back to the hotel. The glimmer of melancholy touching her aura before they entered the library was completely gone. She was smiling and giggling, letting her beauty shine.

They deposited the books in the hotel room and quickly walked Queenie. While out, they picked up more hot dogs, as Summer seemed to have a reoccurring craving for hot dogs and pickles, before returning to begin the exploration of the pile of books.

Summer curled up on the couch next to Cameron. His left arm slipped around her shoulders as he set the first book in her lap. Her petite fingers opened up the book and her eyes went to his. He happily went over the alphabet with her before moving to small words. They spent an hour working on reading the alphabet book before Cameron decided they needed a break.

Slipping the book from her hands, he tossed it on the coffee table and hugged her tightly. Summer squealed happily and kissed his cheek. He chuckled and returned the kiss before turning to tickle her. Her laughter filled the penthouse suite, waking her puppy. Thinking Summer was in trouble, Queenie bolted out of her bed and hurried over to the couch, barking at Cameron and Summer. He stopped tickling her and rolled onto the carpet to play with the dog.

After playing with Queenie, feeding and walking her again, the two sat down and watched TV for a while. Noticing her boredom, Cameron turned it off and picked up a different book. Summer happily curled in his lap once more. They worked through the second book in an hour before Cameron convinced Summer it would be best if they called it a night. She relented only after he offered ice cream for all her hard work.

While Summer finished her ice cream an hour later, Cameron re-wrote part of his article. He stole glances at the young woman every few minutes, smiling at her the few times she caught his eyes. She thanked him again for all his help and kissed his cheek before heading to the bathroom to take a long, hot bath before bed.

He had meant what he said earlier: she was beautiful inside and out. He knew he was just getting to know her, just as much as she was just getting to know herself. A part of him was very glad to be a part of the journey. He hoped he could help her as much as she was going to need.

Curled up around her pillow with her dog asleep at her feet, Summer slept deeply in the large bed while Cameron snored on the couch. Queenie’s feet twitched in her sleep, almost as if she were chasing butterflies. Summer’s lips curved in a contented smile, her dreams happy and pleasant. Except for the incessant ringing coming from sparkling clouds in the sky.

Groaning, she rolled over and forced her eyes open. A moment later she realized the ringing was coming from the phone by her bedside.

“Jimmy!” she squealed and hurried to the phone. “Hello, hello, hello!”

Hello, princess.

“Oh, Jimmy, I MISS YOU.”

I miss you too, Summer. Did I wake you?

“Mmmmhmmm, but that’s okay. How was your day?”

Horrid. I missed you all day, especially at the concert.

She gasped, “You had a show tonight?”

The first one, yes.

“Oh I wish I were there.”

I do too, princess. Did you have a good day?

“It would have been better with you,” she replied. “But Cameron and I had fun. We went to the library.”

Is Cameron with you now?

Summer paused, glancing at the closed door, “No. He’s asleep in the other room, I think. I’m in bed alone.”

What are you… what are you wearing?

She rolled onto her back, “Nothing. You know I sleep naked.”

He inhaled deeply, “I was hoping you would say that.

“Why is that?”

Summer, princess… I wish you were here.

“Why?” she asked innocently.

I need you to… I need you to suck my cock.

She gasped.

I want you to wrap your pretty little mouth around it and…

“Oh god, Jimmy,” she breathed.

He chuckled, “Are you getting wet?

“Uhhhh… maybe.”

Touch your pussy for me, princess.

“Jimmy…”

Please,” he asked huskily.

Her hand slipped under the sheet and blanket, stopping on her stomach, “Jimmy, I…”

Cup your pussy with your hand, just like I would.

Summer followed his instructions, squeezing gently, “Uhhh…”

Pull your lips apart a little and feel if you’re wet for me.

“Jimmy…” she breathed, her finger slipping between her petals for the first time.

Oh, Summer, I’m so hard for you. Tell me you’re wet.

“Maaaaaybe.”

Rub it. Rub your pussy for me.

Her breath caught as her fingers started to gently explore her sex. Jimmy’s breath became more ragged in the phone, his whispered instructions becoming sparser. She spread her legs further apart, her long fingers reaching in to stroke her sex. With Jimmy’s breathy encouragement, she pushed two fingers into her wet body and soon began to match the faint strokes she could hear in the phone.

Princess… I need to…

“No…. not… yet.”

Uhhhhh….

She continued to thrust her fingers into herself, awed and aroused that she could bring such feelings to her own body. Her toes began to curl and she increased her pace while Jimmy breathily begged to cum. She once more denied him, not quite ready to release herself. He grunted another request, but she moaned a ‘no’ and continued to finger herself.

Suuuuuummer.

“Oh yes, Jimmy… oh god… I’m… oh yes…”

Jimmy groaned and grunted as his own hand brought about his orgasm. Both of their breaths caught for a moment simultaneously as they reached their sexual zenith. Summer’s tensed legs finally relaxed, but her hand continued to touch and explore her sloppy sex.

Oh god, Summer… I can’t wait until I can fuck you properly again.

“When, Jimmy?” she asked in a whisper.

Ten days, princess. Ten days.

“I miss you.”

I miss you too. I’ll talk with Peter again in the morning and see if he can get you here to London before then. But ten days without a doubt,” he declared.

“I hope so,” she responded, her wet hand leaving her sex to cup her small breast. “I think my boobs are getting bigger.”

Jimmy chuckled, “I will have to check that when I see you again.

Summer giggled, “Promise?”

Summer, when I see you again, there are so many things I’m going to do to and with you. You have no need to worry, princess.

She giggled again, “Good. I can’t wait.”

I can’t wait either.

“Jimmy?”

Yes, princess.

“Can we do this again when you call next time?”

He inhaled sharply before replying, “As you wish, baby. As you wish.

“Good night, Jimmy. Sleep well.”

Good night, Summer. I’ll ring you tomorrow.

Stretching over, Summer hung up the phone before lying back down. She licked her wet fingers before slipping it back under the covers again. While she had touched herself before, another had never directed it and she certainly had never orgasmed before. Hearing Jimmy’s voice in her head, Summer repeated her previous actions at his instructions. Before long she orgasmed again and turned onto her side. With a contented smile and her hand between her legs, Summer fell back asleep, while Jimmy attempted to do the same on the other side of the ocean.
