Rating: NC-17 [language,sex]

Summary: Jimmy returns to Summer, only to have tragedy befall.  At the hospital in Rhodes, Summer bonds with Robert's children.  Everyone flies back to London.

Entering the Greek house, Jimmy paused to slip off his shoes.  He listened to the sounds of the house, trying to ascertain Summer’s location.  Not hearing anything that could be her, he decided she must be out at the pool.  Smiling to himself, he headed to the bedroom to change into his shorts so that he could join her.  Finding the bedroom door closed, he frowned and opened it.  Soft light filtered through sheer curtains, casting soft light on Summer’s form.

Jimmy approached the bed as quietly as possible and lifted the light sheet covering her body.  With Summer on her side, her back to him, she did not notice his presence until he lay beside her, his hand slipping over her body, gently caressing her small belly.  She stirred, glancing over her shoulder.

“Jimmy?” she muttered softly.

He quickly kissed her soft mouth, “I’ve missed you, princess.”

She smiled, rolling onto her back, “I’ve missed you too.”

His fingers gently caressed her bare belly, “A couple of days without you…”

“I totally agree,” Summer’s hand covered his.

His lips touched hers once more, “Why are you still in bed, beautiful?”

“Because… I haven’t been feeling well.”

“I have returned now, my princess.  I will not be going anywhere.”

“Mmmm, I’m glad,” her lips parted, inviting him to deepen the kiss.

His fingers slipped up and cupped her plump breast.  Summer moaned slightly against his mouth, adjusting slightly how she laid to give him better access.  With a smile, Jimmy’s mouth left hers, kissing down her pulse to suck on her nipples.  His fingers caressed circles around her belly, slowing moving down.  She gasped as his talented fingers parted her petals and tickled her clitoris.

“Oh Jimmy,” he groaned, her fingers disappearing in his hair.

With his tongue running circles around her swollen nipples, Jimmy’s fingers played Summer’s wet sex like his most precious guitar.  Alternating attention on her clitoris and thrusting his digits in her, a smile danced across his face.  He loved the different kinds of gasps and moans his fingers and mouth could coax from her pink lips.  Continuing to vary the speed and movements of his fingers, Jimmy leaned up to watch her face.

Not losing a note in his play, Jimmy unfastened his pants with his other hand.  He could see her orgasm nearing in her face; could hear it in her soft moans and breathy sighs.  Still keeping his hand playing her sex, Jimmy crawled between her legs.  He suddenly withdrew his honey-coated hand and instantly thrust forward, burying his cock in her.

Summer moaned and arched with his initial thrust.  By his second one, her body tensed and quaked as her orgasm erupted inside her.  Looking up into her blue eyes, Jimmy smirked and kept thrusting while he pulled his shirt off.  He leaned down carefully and kissed her.  As her body still pulsed around his cock, he knew he would not last long before filling her up.

Within a few hard thrusts that made Summer squeal, Jimmy moaned.  His orgasm quickly fired down his spine and into her body.  Summer gasped and wrapped her arms around him, holding him tightly as a second orgasm ripped through her body.  Once her body stopped trembling, she released Jimmy from her embrace.  He kissed her once more before rolling off her body and struggled briefly to remove his pants the rest of the way.  Once fully naked, he cuddled with her.

“Did you swim much while I was gone?” he asked softly, pulling the sheet over them.

“A bit, yes,” she responded. “And I laid out in the sun a lot.  I love being here… but I miss Queenie.  And I missed you.”

“I’m sure that Joni is taking great care of her,” Jimmy claimed.

“I know.  I just—”

His eyes went to her as she clutched her rounded belly, “Summer?”

She hissed, biting her bottom lip, “Give me a minute…”

His hand instantly covered hers, his worried eyes locked on her face, “Princess?”

She said nothing for a couple of moments, merely held onto her stomach.  Concerned, Jimmy lifted the sheet off of them, his dark eyes focusing on her belly.  His hand went back to her rounded stomach, his eyes connecting with hers as both her hands covered his.

“Summer, what’s going on?”

“Sophia…” she muttered, her face scrunching in pain again.

Not entirely sure if she was asking for the matron or trying to tell him something, Jimmy hesitated.  He tempted to pull away but her fingers tightened on his.  Nodding, he kissed her temple and shifted closer, slipping one arm underneath her.  Ever so carefully, Jimmy gently embraced her.

“Summer,” he whispered in her ear, “tell me what’s going on.”

“It’s just a few pains.  Sophia… Sophia said I should lie down and rest,” she stated.

“Have you seen a doctor?”

Summer shook her head, “No.  It’s going away.”

“Princess… this is not normal.  You should see a doctor.”

“Who, Jimmy?  We’re in Greece…”

He kissed her temple again, “They have doctors here too.  I will see about one coming out here to see you.”

“Do you think the… baby is okay?”

His hand rubbed her belly gently, “I’m sure that she is.  Relax right here.  I will go and find you a doctor.”

Jimmy carefully extricated himself from her.  With a one more quick kiss, he reached for his pants.  Buckling them about his waist, he glanced over his girlfriend once more.  His eyes flicked over her sex and snapped back.  He instantly noticed the blood-tinted stain on the sheets.  Not wanting to alarm Summer, he said nothing but smiled at her.

“I will return promptly.”

She turned over on her side, pulling the sheet back over her nude body as he left the room.  Stepping out of the master bedroom, Jimmy closed the door and briskly walked away in search of the lady of the house.  He stumbled slightly on the steps to the main level, his bare toes slipping on the tile.

“Sophia?  Sophia?” he called softly.

“Mr. Page,” she stepped into the living room, “I was just coming to find you.”

He stopped, “We need to get a doctor out here for Summer.”

“Of course, Mr. Page,” she nodded. “There is a Mr.  Grant on the phone.”

His brows furrowed, “There is?”

“Yes sir.”

Following her to where the phone waited, Jimmy tried to figure out why the manager would be calling him at the house.  Grant was the only person who knew where Jimmy was, but had promised to leave him alone.  If he had called, something important had to be happening.

“Yes?”

“Oh thank Jesus you’re there.”

“Excuse me?”

I don’t know the details yet, but there’s been an accident…

Looking up as yet another person approached her, Charlotte’s heart jumped into her throat.  Before she could speak at all, Scarlet slipped out of the hard plastic chair and stumbled forward.  The four-year-old wrapped her arms around his leg.  He cautiously bent over and picked her up.

“Daddy,” she clung to him tightly.

He glanced at her but said nothing.  Instead, he stepped closer to the adult woman.  His eyes held hers as he sat in Scarlet’s vacated seat, shifting the child onto his lap.  Though he was relieved the children and Charlotte were okay, he did not know how to voice his worries about Robert and Maureen’s wellbeing.

“Jimmy, it was… there was…” Charlotte muttered softly. “…so much blood…”

“I’m sure… I’m sure they will be okay,” he responded.

A young blond woman carefully approached the two, her blue eyes focusing on Jimmy.  As he looked up at her, he smiled slightly.  Charlotte tensed, her eyes narrowing on the young woman.  She quickly looked her over, her attention focusing on the slight swell of the girl’s abdomen.

“Jimmy, how could yo—”

“Charlotte,” he interrupted, “this is Summer.  She’s here to help with the kids.”

“She’s a gro—”

“Charlotte,” he warned.

She pulled her daughter out of his lap, her eyes narrowing on him.  Without saying anything, he motioned for Summer to approach the two blonde children huddled on Charlotte’s other side.  Carefully she stepped forward and squatted in front of them.

“Hi,” she smiled at the two. “My name is Summer.  You must be Carmen and Karac.”

The older girl nodded, her brother shifting closer to her.  Summer’s blue eyes danced over the children, noticing their cuts, bruises, and casts.  Seeing how hurt the children had been and hearing Charlotte talking softly with Jimmy about the accident, Summer felt more worry and anxiety bubble up in her soul.  She barely managed to keep it at bay, knowing the two young children were watching her carefully.

“Can I sit with you?” she asked softly.

Carmen glanced over at Charlotte and Jimmy, waiting to make certain it was okay.  With both of them nodding at her, her eyes returned to the young blonde woman.  She slowly nodded, agreeing.  Smiling sweetly, Summer slowly stood up and picked up Karac, being very careful with his leg cast.  Carmen shifted over slightly, allowing the young woman to sit on the hard plastic chair.  Her arm slipped around the girl’s shoulders.

Jimmy’s brows rose slightly as Carmen snuggled up against Summer.  With ease, she shifted on the uncomfortable chair to better accommodate the two children.  Even with her growing belly, Karac easily sat on her lap, his leg cast supported across her lap.

“Why do you have a belly?” Carmen asked.

“Because there’s a baby growing inside,” Summer answered softly.

Her eyes widened, “Really?”

Charlotte’s eyes snapped to Jimmy and she hissed, “Tell me that child is not yours.”

“Charlotte,” he responded quietly.

“Are you for real?  You bring your baby mama to—”

“The baby is not mi—”

“Mr. Page,” a very familiar voice spoke, drawing everyone’s attention.

His entire body and soul tensed.  As his eyes looked at the man, his eyes darkened and he quickly stood.  Without even thinking, he stepped between him and Summer.

“What are you doing here?” he asked darkly.

“Grant sent me to get the Plants back to London,” he declared, his eyes glancing at Summer. “Oh ho.  Looks like you have the little who—”

“Cole,” he growled.

He held up his hands, “Fine, fine.”

“What are you going to do for Robert and Maureen?”

“I have a medical plane equipped with a team ready to fly the two of them back to London.  The medical care here in Rhodes is not enough for either of their injuries, especially Maureen,” Cole claimed. “They will be transporting the two of them to the plane shortly.”

“What of the children?” Summer spoke up, swallowing her hatred of the man on the other side of Jimmy.

“There’s another plane waiting for Jimmy and the family,” Cole sneered.

“Summer will fly with us,” Jimmy stated.

“She will—”

“Summer will fly with us,” he repeated.

Seated next to Jimmy on the private plane, Charlotte kept glancing over at Summer.  Only an hour with Robert’s children and the blonde had completely charmed the two of them.  She kept Karac in her lap on the plane, Carmen seated beside her.  Though subdued, both children chatted and even giggled with her.  Charlotte did not understand it at all.

“Who is she to you?” she asked Jimmy softly.

He glanced across her over at Summer, “Charlotte, please.”

Her gaze returned to him, “The baby—”

“Is Robert’s,” he whispered quietly enough that one she could hear.

“What?” her eyes widened.

He nodded slightly.

“Does he…” she glanced at Summer briefly before returning to meeting his eyes, “…does he know?”

Jimmy shook his head, his gaze focusing on Summer as she tickled Karac, “He hasn’t seen her… since the first of April.”

Charlotte glanced at the young woman briefly, before returning to her conversation with Jimmy, “She looks like she’s in her second trimester.”

“Yeah,” he confirmed.

“So you’re telling me that you brought her here to Greece, because she’s pregnant with his child?”

“Something like that.”

“Maybe… maybe she should tell him.  It might give him a reason to fight,” she stated.

Jimmy’s face darkened, “Are his injuries that bad?”

“I…I’m not sure,” Charlotte stated. “I know he broke his leg, but I don’t know how badly.  And maybe his arm as well.  Maureen was driving and is the worst off.  There was so much blood…”

He reached for her hand, grasping it gently, “Everyone is going to be okay, Charlotte.  You shall see.”

Sitting in a hotel room a few blocks from the London hospital where both Maureen and Robert were receiving surgery, Summer rubbed her belly.  Robert’s two young children slept in the other room, in the center of the large king-sized bed.  Had Shirley not been needed to be with her sister, she likely would be taking care of the children.  She was needed at the hospital.  After being treated for their injuries, including their broken bones re-cast, the children asked to remain with Summer.  As she remained by their sides since the hospital in Rhodes, she eagerly agreed.  Jimmy instantly saw that they were booked into a hotel near the hospital, as he did not think Charlotte would care for them returning to his house.  He vowed to check on her often and to stay with her once he settled Charlotte and Scarlet.  But she did not really expect that to happen; she had seen their interactions since the Greek hospital.

Luckily, she had not had any pains since Jimmy woke her at the house earlier that day.  The discoloration of her urine passed too.  Maybe her body had just been projecting Robert’s injury.  It seemed to make sense to her.  This meant he was going to be okay too, because she felt better.  She really just wanted to see him, even if she was with Jimmy now.  Her heart ached at the idea of Robert being hurt.

Pushing the thought aside for the moment, she reached for the phone.  She picked up the handset and dialed the number scribbled in her small notebook.  Speaking with the secretary at Rolling Stone, Summer located Cameron and wrote down yet another number.  She thanked the young woman before hanging up and dialing the new number.  It rang four times before reaching the front desk of the hotel he was at, another two times before it was answered in his room.

Hello?

“Cam… Hi.”

Summer?  Are you back in the States already?

“No… I’m in London now.”

He paused, “London?  I thought you’d come back to California for Queenie once you left Greece.  Wait.  Weren’t you supposed to be in Greece for another couple of weeks?

“Cam… There’s been an accident.”

Are you okay?  Is the baby okay?  Are you okay?

She smiled slightly at his concern, “I’m fine.  The baby is fine.  Apparently Robert and his family and Charlotte and Scarlet were in Greece too.”

He paused briefly, “Summer, what happened?

“I don’t really know the details but there was a car accident and both Maureen and Robert were hurt badly.  Grant sent Cole to fly everyone back to London because the hospital in Rhodes was… not good.  The kids were hurt too, but right now they’re sleeping on the bed in the other room…”

Shit…” he muttered. “Wait, you’re with his kids?

Her blue eyes glanced through the door at the sleeping children, “Yes.  We bonded at the hospital in Greece, I guess.  Maureen’s sister can’t take care of them right now.  And… we don’t even know at this point if Maureen is going to make it.”

Cameron remained silent for a few long moments, “The kids are okay though, right?

“Carmen broke her wrist and Karac broke his leg, but for the most part they’re okay.”

And Jimmy?  Where’s Jimmy?

“He went home with Charlotte and Scarlet.”

Cameron quickly swore under his breath.

“I’m just a groupie, Cameron.”

No,” he responded strongly. “You aren’t.  Things are just complicated.  I’m sure he’s just reassuring them that everything is okay and he’ll be back with you once they’re settled.

She paused, “I don’t know what to do with an seven-year-old and a three-year-old.”

Luckily they are old enough to tell you,” he chuckled. “But just think of this as good practice for your baby.  And since they are half-siblings, I bet you’ll spend more time with them in the future anyways.

“True…”

Just make sure they get enough to eat at meals and enough sleep and keep them as happy and distracted as you can about their parents,” he suggested. “Obviously they like you if they’re staying with you.  And people must trust your abilities.  You’re going to be fine.

“Cam, what if Maureen never wakes up?  What if Robert never gets better?”

Don’t think about such things, Summer.  Everyone is going to be just fine.

“…I’m scared, Cameron.”

I know, sweetie.  But everything is going to be okay.  I know it,” he assured her.

“What if I mess something up?”

As long as you love those kids, which I’m betting you already do, there’s nothing you can mess up.

She glanced into the bedroom again, “They are pretty great.”

He paused, “See?  There you go.  You’re going to do great at this, Summer.  And I’m sure Jimmy will be with you to help out soon.

“Okay…”

Robert is going to be fine too.

She sighed, “I don’t know, Cam.”

He will be,” Cameron stated definitively. “How about I tell you a story that you can tell the kids later?

After listening to Cameron tell a fairy tale, Summer thanked him profusely.  He promised to call her the following night to check in, once more assuring her that she would be just fine taking care of Robert’s children.  He could not imagine anyone else more suited for the role.  She thanked him again and hung up.

Summer quickly changed into a soft cotton tee and a pair of terry shorts before heading into the bedroom.  Sitting on the edge of the bed, she looked over the two siblings lit by the silvery moon slipping through a crack in the curtains.  She did not understand why everyone trusted her with the children’s care; thought maybe others would be better suited for it.  Yet the children had asked to stay with her when asked at the hospital.  Why, she did not know.  Yet as she watched the two angels sleep, she felt blessed to have them with her.  Perhaps they would only be with her for the night, but she was going to make certain they felt loved and cherished.

Besides, they would all need to keep a positive attitude if Maureen and Robert were going to pull through.  Summer did not want them to lose their mother like she had.  She would do what she could to help see them through it.

With a slight smile, she lifted the covers and slipped into the bed next to Carmen, afraid to disturb Karac with his leg cast elevated on a pillow.  The seven-year-old woke, stirring slightly.  Her eyes met Summer’s in the darkness of the room.

“Summer?”

“Yes, sweetie.”

“Can I… can I cuddle with you?” she whispered.

Realizing the girl’s arm cast would drape across her if she agreed, she hesitated, “Why don’t we trade spots first so I can be by your brother too?”

“Okay.”

Carefully the two traded places.  Carmen’s arm slipped over Summer’s belly after she positioned her cast carefully on her other side.  The young girl rubbed her pregnant stomach lovingly.

“I bet the baby will be just as beautiful as you,” she whispered.

Summer briefly squeezed her, “I hope so.”

“Summer?”

“Yes, sweetie.”

“Thank you for taking care of me and my brother.”

“There’s nowhere else I’d rather be than right here between you two.  Now try and get some rest.”

The girl squeezed her once more, before relaxing and giving into sleep again.  Summer gently played with the girl’s hair, hoping the simple touch would convey what words seemed unable to.  Eventually, both of them drifted off into dreams, their soft breaths synching with Karac’s.  After a long, stressful day, they all finally slept peacefully.
