Title: Love Runs Deeper: Chapter Ten, Erotic Intoxication
Rating: PG-13 [mild language, alcohol, partial nudity]

Summary: Introductions with the band make Lily more nervous than she's been before, despite Lindsey's assurances that she'll be loved.

Standing in front of the closet in a pale pink bra and panty set, Lily worried over what to wear. She chewed on her short nails as her golden eyes once more swept over her clothes. Having already pulled on a few dresses, she was beginning to think she would never be good enough to meet Lindsey’s band for dinner. Moreover, if she could not meet with them for dinner, how would she be able to share in Lindsey’s life at all?

Stepping into the suite after smoking a couple of joints, Lindsey froze. When he stepped out to smoke, she had been wearing the hotel’s fluffy robe. He could not quite pinpoint what exactly it was about the young woman standing nearly nude in front of the closet. Her long honey-colored hair curled gently down her back. He wanted nothing more than to quickly embrace her and shower her beauty with soft kisses. However, he could not, no matter how much he wanted to.

He slowly approached her, his right hand gently reaching to touch her shoulder. She jumped slightly but glanced over her shoulder and smiled. Before she could speak, his lips quickly connected with hers. Her lips parted, inviting him to deepen the kiss. Lily turned carefully in his arms, keeping their lips connected. Though he did not know what was behind her mood, Lindsey certainly had no issues with it. His arms slipped around her, gently pressed against her back.

They kissed for a few moments before Lily leaned back, “I don’t know what to wear, Linds.”

“Anything you wear will be beautiful, Lily,” he muttered before brushing his lips across hers. “Anything.”

“But Linds, I’m meeting your band. I have to make a good impression,” she declared, her large eyes looking into his.

For a moment, he was lost in her golden eyes, noticing tiny flecks of green interspersed in the deep gold.

“Lindsey?”

He shook his head, “You have the most amazing eyes, Lily.”

She instantly flushed, “But that doesn’t help me get dressed.”

Lindsey took a step back, letting his eyes wander her body, “Perhaps maybe you should not. You are so sex right now.”

Her flush deepened, “But Lindsey, we’re supposed to go to dinner with your band. I would not have agreed to you taking me to that spa to be pampered all day for no reason. We can’t not go.”

He closed the space between them again, his mouth capturing hers for a few moments, “We can just stay here.”

“But then I wouldn’t get introduced to them before you’re working and… Lindsey, we just have to go.”

“But, baby,” he groaned as she pushed him away.

Her eyes boldly met his, “Help me pick something to wear to this dinner and when we get back…”

His face lit up, “Really?”

She kissed him quickly, “Really.”

As the car pulled into the parking space, Lily’s heart race spiked. They were yards away from meeting with the band. She felt like she could not breathe. Lindsey reached across the car and squeezed her hand. Her eyes instantly went to his, but still she could not breathe. He instantly read the fear in her eyes and leaned over, kissing her mouth gently. Lily closed her eyes at his kiss, trying to focus all her thoughts on the mouth touching hers.

It was not working.

“Lindsey…”

“Everything is going to be just fine,” he declared. “They will love you.”

She sighed, “I just…”

“Everything will be fine,” Lindsey kissed her quickly again. “And I’ll be with you the entire time.”

Lily nodded, “Okay.”

With a curt nod, Lindsey got out of the car and hurried around. He opened her door, offering his hand. His lips touched hers once more and he grinned, before closing the door and turning to lead her up to the Italian restaurant. They were promptly ushered back to the private room where the band already was. Lindsey stood at the arched entrance for a long moment, waiting for the band to notice his presence. Lily’s golden eyes quickly took in the scene, bouncing from faces familiar only because of the albums sleeves she studied the day before.

“Lindsey!” Mick bellowed, getting to his feet.

Lily’s eyes widened slightly. While she had known he was a tall man, she had not expected him to be so large and… scary. Her hand tightened on Lindsey’s, though he wiggled it free to shake hands with the drummer.

“Mick, this is my girlfriend, Lily Walker,” Lindsey grinned.

The large man reached for her hand, kissing it softly, “A pleasure to meet you, Lily. I have heard many good things about you already.”

She flushed slightly, “Lindsey has told me a lot about you as well. I… did not expect you to be so tall.”

Mick laughed heartily, “And I did not expect you to be so beautiful.”

Her flush deepened.

“Let me introduce you to the rest of the band,” he grinned, still holding her hand and leading her fully into the room.

Within minutes, Lily was seated between Mick and Chris, though she wanted nothing more than to sit next to Lindsey. Her eyes flicked to his, silently pleading with him. He merely smiled, settling in the chair across from her, chatting happily with John. A drink was pushed on her, and rather than be rude, Lily sipped it, feeling it burn down her throat. She felt herself relax slightly as the minutes passed; whether because Chris’s smoky voice put her at ease or the alcohol hit her veins, she did not know or really care.

By the time appetizers touched the table, Lily relaxed almost as much she did around Lindsey. He noticed she chatted with ease mostly with Chris, and that seemed like a very good sign to him. He knew she did not have many if any female friends. And Chris certainly was one to take others under her wing. Relief was not a strong enough term for how he felt. She seemed to be settling into the tight Fleetwood Mac family.

Of course, Stevie was not present, so that could vastly impact things.

“So, um,” he shifted towards John, who was already more than half-drunk, “where is Stevie?”

The bassist shrugged, “She is supposed to be here. But no one has seen neither her nor her gaggle.”

“Why do you think that is?”

John glanced across the table as Lily giggled at the punchline of a story, nodding in her direction.

“You think she’s avoiding this because of Lily?”

“Wouldn’t you?” he smirked before finishing off his drink.

“Lily is not a threat to her.”

John laughed, “You cannot be that bloody clueless.”

Lindsey blinked and reached for his beer. Maybe it was better that Stevie had not shown up for the band dinner. It allowed Lily to relax into the family. Perhaps putting off the drama of meeting with Stevie was a blessing in disguise.

Stumbling slightly, Lily leaned on Lindsey as they left the restaurant. Never before had she ate so much, not even with him, nor had she ever drank as much. He attributed both to the fact she sat with Chris all night. There was absolutely no reason to complain at all. He loved the fact she got along so quickly with Chris. He certainly thought that everything was going to go well.

Leaning against the car, blocking Lindsey from opening the door, Lily’s golden eyes went to his, “Linds?”

“Yes, baby.”

“Do you… doyouthinktheylikedme?”

He smirked, before leaning in to kiss her softly, “I think they loved you.”

She grinned, “I think I love you.”

Lindsey froze for a moment, before smiling and kissing her again, “I think… we should go back to the hotel.”

She nodded eagerly. With a chuckle, he helped her step away from the car so he could open the door. Managing to get her seated with some difficulty, Lindsey fastened her seatbelt about her waist, kissed her once more, and hurried around the car after closing her door. Behind the wheel once more, Lindsey smiled at her as she giggled when he started the car.

Arriving back at the hotel not too much later, Lily sobered up some, but Lindsey still intended to push a glass of water on her as soon as they reached the room. However, he struggled to keep his plans in mind for when they stopped outside the room she leaned over and kissed his ear. Never before had she even remotely initiated anything sexual. Her quick kiss on his ear and nibble instantly threw him for a loop, but certainly a good one.

“Lily,” he breathed softly, prying her fingers off his arm so that he could focus on opening the door.

He kissed her fingertips quickly before unlocking the door and pushing it open. With a quick wink, he swept her into the room, letting the door close behind them and kissed her mouth hungrily, dropping everything in his hands to the floor. Lily giggled and stepped away from his touching, dramatically stepped over the small items. He instantly pursued her, though he briefly considered turning a light on. Before he needed to make that decision, Lily clicked on the lamp next to the bed before stepping up onto it.

She turned around, her golden gaze meeting his. With a sly smile curving her lips, Lily began to gyrate to an unknown tune playing in her head. His eyes widened slightly as her hands disappeared behind her back, her fingers slowly unzipping the dress. Lily turned, presenting her back to him as the dress skimmed down her slight curves into a puddle on the bed. Stepping out of the dress, she kicked it away with one foot, still moving to her internal song. Lindsey gasped as her fingers reached for the clasp on her bra.

“Lily,” he groaned.

She glanced over her shoulder and grinned at him, unclasping the bra and tossing it aside as well. Continuing to dance to her own song, Lily turned around, her hands playfully covering her breasts. Lindsey stepped forward, reaching up for her. With a giggle, Lily jumped off the bed and into his arms, releasing her breasts to loop her arms around his neck.

He kissed her deeply, though briefly, “Lily… you should drink some water.”

Her sparkling eyes went to his, “If I drink some water, will you take off your clothes?”

Completely shocked by her question, not at all certain if the girl in his arms was the same one; Lindsey was not certain how to answer her question. Instead, he kissed her quickly, turning her away from the bed. Once her heels touched the floor, he pulled away and hurriedly filled a glass with water, holding it out to her. With a smile, she shifted her hand to cover both breasts before accepting the glass. Lindsey kept his eyes on hers, watching as she slowly drank the glass of water.

Returning the empty glass to the counter, Lindsey remained on the opposite side of the hotel room as he pulled his shirt off. Eyes meeting hers, his fingers went to his waistband. He waited for a long moment, waiting to see if she would protest and tell him to stop. Lily said nothing. His pants hit the floor.

Lily erupted into giggles. While normally that might make someone feel self-conscious, Lindsey was not at all. In fact, it made him grin, as her giggles were filled with happiness, not disbelief. Grinning he stepped forward, his fingers reaching for hers. He gently lifted her hands from her breasts, his blue eyes dropping down to her nude chest.

“Oh baby,” he muttered, “you are beautiful.”

“Lindsey,” she breathed, a slight moan filtering in her voice as he cupped both breasts.

His hands left her breasts, circling around her back. Without a word, as his mouth once more united with hers, Lindsey lifted her from the floor and laid her down in the center of the large bed. His fingertips gently ran down her body, caressing her flesh ever so tenderly, until he reached the straps of her shoes. Unfastening each, he tossed them over his shoulders before he settled over her, his lips dipping down to kiss each perky breast. He smiled as a moan bubbled from her lips, as her fingers disappeared into his curly hair.

Skipping back up to her mouth, Lindsey kissed her sweetly, “Lily…”

His eyes looked down into hers, trying to read her true thoughts. While he could clearly see arousal and perhaps even affection, intoxication dominated her gaze. He could not take advantage of that, no matter how much he wanted to love her. Their first time had to be absolutely perfect and when he considered her fear the last time they kissed heavily, Lindsey did not feel comfortable in that moment.

He kissed her again, “We should get some sleep. It’s late. And we’ll need to head to the studio tomorrow, move into whatever lodging Mick has found.”

“What? You don’t want me?”

“No, that’s not it at all. I want you very much,” he pressed her hand against his tented shorts. “Feel how much I want you.”

Feeling his hardening cock in her hand was enough to bring Lily’s fear to the forefront of her thoughts. He instantly felt the shift in her aura and moved to the side of her, his hands not caressing her at all. Though still intoxicated, and frankly aroused, Lily recognized exactly what he did. The sober part of her was very grateful, perhaps even loved him more for it.

Without saying another word, Lindsey shifted about the bed, helping Lily wiggle underneath the covers. Glancing from the couch and back to the pretty blond, who sent him so many mixed signals in that very moment, he clicked off the bedside lamp, plucked a pillow and a blanket from the bed, and headed towards the couch.

“Lindsey? Where are you going?”

“I’ll sleep on the couch tonight,” he declared.

“No, please. Please don’t do that.”

He paused, glancing at her, his eyes fully adjusted to the dark room, “Lily, I respect and adore you too much to even remotely take advantage of this moment. I don’t want you to ever be afraid of me.”

“Please… please at least let me sleep with my head on your chest…” she requested in a near whisper.

He knew in that very moment that he could not tell her no… and that feeling would likely apply to anything she ever asked of him… forever.
