Title: Angels in a Cage: Chapter Thirty-one, Tests
Rating: R  [language, alcohol, innuendo]

Summary: Alyssa struggles through a day at school, only to hang out with David afterwards.  Chris settles into his house and has a surprise guest.

Sitting in her AP European History class, Alyssa doodled on her notes.  Her interest in watching The Blue and the Gray miniseries was lacking at best.  She knew the teacher was only showing it to give the students a break before the exam on Friday and before the presentations began after the AP exams finished.  Besides, it had nothing to do with the class anyways.  Maybe she should be spending the period organizing her notes so she could study before the exam.

Who was she kidding?  Her thoughts could only focus on the fact she woke up naked, cuddling Chris on the floor in his new house. She woke to his cock pressing into her hip.  Trying to ignore it on both their parts was impossible.  Instead, her fingers danced over his erection while his disappeared into playing with her sex.  They touched each other to orgasm before getting up off the floor and showering together.  Chris’s hands worked the soap into suds on her body, once more teasing an orgasm out of her.  However, with hardly enough time to walk to school and not be tardy to first period, Alyssa refused him another orgasm.  Instead, she kissed him sweetly, got out of the shower and quickly dressed. By the time his cum circled the drain and he stepped out, she was already over a block away.

But her thoughts kept returning to him, making her wiggle slightly in her seat.  She struggled to not skip class and head back to his house.  She could not miss any more class, especially with AP and yearend exams coming up.  After History, she just had her design class.  That she could make it through without incident — she hoped.

Snapping to attention when the lights were flicked on a couple of minutes before the bell rang, Alyssa folded up her notebook and slipped it into her backpack, hardly listening to the teacher giving more points for studying.  Her eyes widened and a slight blush filled her cheeks as she realized her panties from the day before were in that backpack, not left back at Chris’s house.  Dropping her notebook on top, hoping that would keep them hidden in place, Alyssa zipped it up and quickly slung it over her shoulder as the bell rang.

Two steps out of the classroom, arms circled her and pulled her out of the way.  She gasped but did not struggle, instantly knowing it was David.  He held her tightly for a moment regardless, saying nothing.

“What the hell happened this morning?” he asked, releasing her but grasping her hand.

“Huh?” she strolled the hallway with him.

“I had to get a ride to school with Mike.  You never answered your phone,” David claimed, heading to the staircase.

Alyssa flushed slightly, “Because I wasn’t home.”

He pulled her aside on the landing midway to the second floor, “What does that mean?”

She bit her bottom lip, flushed, and looked away.

“You didn’t!?”

Her hazel eyes went back to his, “I snuck out through my window last night.  And yes, I stayed the night with him.”

David quickly looked her up and down, “Well now that you’re no longer a virgin, how do you feel?”

“David!” she slapped his chest lightly. “We didn’t do that.”

“Uh huh,” he turned, heading towards the rest of the stairs. “I can’t imagine he’d have you stay the night and not get some.”

“Well he didn’t,” she responded, keeping close to him so no one else could hear their conversation.

He smirked, “I don’t believe you.”

Alyssa stopped just outside the art classroom, “Believe it or not, it’s true.”

“I expect full disclosure after class,” he winked before pulling away and heading to his next class.

Barely able to focus while they went over final projects, Alyssa squirmed on her stool.  She paid no attention to the presentations, but rather kept looking to the clock.  The moment the bell rang, she grabbed her backpack and bolted out of the room.  She hoped to make it down to her locker and out of the building before David found her, though she was not entirely sure what would happen after that.  She supposed she could return to Chris’s house; he would not mind at all.  Only she had promised her sister she would play video games that day.

Stopping Mike in the hallway, she smiled, “Hey, you gave David a ride this morning right?”

He nodded, “Yeah.  Said you never showed up.”

“I walked today.  Weather was nice.”

“Ah right.  You coming to the park to smoke?”

“No, but take David.  I have to hang out with my little sister today.”

He frowned slightly, “That’s too bad.  Hey, Aly, can I ask you something?”

“Sure,” she replied, glancing behind him and noticed David approaching.

“I know it’s late, but do you want to go to—”

Interrupting their conversation, David embraced her, pressing his lips to her ear, “How’s my favorite slut?”

She shoved him away, “David!”

He smirked, “Let’s hang out.”

“I have to hang out with Judi,” she tried to step away from him.

“Do you guys want a ride?” Mike asked, trying to stay involved, his eyes on Alyssa.

Her eyes went to his, “No, thanks. I’m just going to walk again.  But David will definitely need a ride.”

“You sure?  I can just drop you off on the way to drop him off,” he stated.

“I…sure, Mike.  That would be great.  Let me just go get books,” Alyssa smiled and continued to her locker.

With David in the back of Mike’s car, Alyssa chatted happily with the driver as they headed to her house.  While the walk back to her house would have been nice, and played well into the lie she was going to tell her family, she knew the drive would distract David from harassing her about Chris.  He would not bring it up around another friend, right?

“So when do we get to meet Chris?” he asked loudly to be heard over the music.

“Who’s Chris?” Mick quickly asked, turning the music down.

Alyssa glared at David in the mirror, but she said nothing.

“Her new boyfriend,” he answered, grinning broadly.

“Oh,” he frowned slightly. “What school does he go to?”

“Yes, Aly,” David leaned forward between the two seats, “what school does he go to?”

“He doesn’t,” she declared.

“No?” he continued to push.

Alyssa glared at him again, “No, he doesn’t.”

“Why not?” Mike asked.

Her eyes flicked to his, “He hasn’t been in school for awhile.”

“Why?”

Suddenly realizing that the car stopped outside her house, Alyssa quickly unsnapped her seatbelt, “Thanks for the ride, Mike.”

Before either boy could protest, she opened her door, grabbed her backpack, and got out of the car.  David did not hesitate a moment and also climbed out, thanking Mike for the ride.  He trotted up after Alyssa, catching her before she reached the front door.

“David, what are you—”

“Did you really think you were getting out of it that easily?” he grinned, reaching for the front door handle.

“But I’m spending—”

“Don’t worry.  Judi loves me,” he winked and pushed the door open.

“Aly!?  Aly, is that you!?” Judith ran to the front door. “David!”

Before Alyssa even closed the front door, her sister embraced her best friend.  Judith quickly led him into the living room, happily chatting about school and her new video game.  With him distracted, Alyssa hurried upstairs and slipped into her bedroom.

She dropped her bag on the floor next to her desk and flicked on the overhead light.  Her eyes landed on her bed and she smiled. It was exactly as she left it the night before.  Even her window was still cracked open.  Still grinning, she pulled the screen out from under her bed, opened her window, and slipped it back into place.  After removing the clothes from under the blankets and smoothing her bed back out, Alyssa pressed play on the answering machine.  Rolling her eyes, she deleted five messages from David before freezing.

Her face filled with brightness.

“Hello, beautiful.  I know that you’re in class right now and we didn’t make plans to see each other today but… I would really like to see you again as soon as possible.  Just having you around makes me feel… amazing things I did not know were possible.  In the very least… call me back so I can hear your beautiful voice.  Hope to hear from you soon, Lyssie.”

It probably was not his most poetic of declarations, but it made butterflies dance in her stomach regardless.  She listened to it two more times before stepping away from the machine and turning to her backpack.  She stacked her books on her desk, suddenly remembering her panties in the bottom of the bag.  After digging them out and tossing them into her hamper, she realized her clothes and toiletries were still at Chris’s house.  If she had backups or had used travel sizes, that would not be an issue.  As it were, Chris had all of her basic makeup and other important things.  She would have to sneak out to see him again, even if just briefly.

Knowing she would have to get rid of David and entertain her sister long before, Alyssa left her bedroom and headed downstairs.  She nonchalantly sat on the sofa next to her sister.  Judith quickly plucked the controller from David’s hands and held it out to Alyssa.

After an hour of playing video games, Marilyn called for Judith and Alyssa to finish up the game and help with dinner.  As David followed the girls in, the matriarch smiled, shock slightly touching her face.  Shrugging it off, she quickly put him to work peeling potatoes with Alyssa.

“So, when are you going to tell me about you and Chris?” he asked softly.

Her eyes snapped to his, “How about never?”

“Yeah, that’s not going to work for me.”

“My private life is just that,” she whispered. “Private.”

“You’re going to have to tell me eventually,” he declared, picking an escaped curl of potato skin off her forehead.

She rolled her eyes, “No.”

“Yes.”

He continued to ask her until they set the table for dinner.  Only then did his words fall silent as her father returned home from work.  Howard glanced once at his eldest before stepping beyond her to kiss his wife.  After he changed out of his suit, the family sat around the dining room table, joined by David, and ate dinner.  Conversations seemed normal and happy, though a slight tension seemed to hang over everything.

“David, help with dishes,” Marilyn requested as Judith began to clear the table.

“Alyssa,” Howard stated, his eyes going to hers.

Nodding she followed her father from the dining room and into his office.  He motioned to the chair in front of his desk and she sighed.  Sitting down, she knew this was not going to be a happy conversation.  It never was when brought to his office.

“Why didn’t you drive to school this morning?”

Relief flooded her.  He did not know she snuck out of the house.  He did not know she spent the night with Chris.  He did not know.

“I… I just decided to walk.”

He sighed, “Aly, I know it’s been a couple of weeks since Zack was released and there hasn’t been any incidences, but that does not mean you can let your guard down.”

“But it was so nice this morning and the school is only—”

“Alyssa you cannot be so careless, especially now.”

“But, Dad, I—wait, what?  Why especially now?”

Howard sighed, “The police will no longer be trailing you.”

Her eyes widened slightly, “Why not?”

“The chief believes that Zack is no longer a viable threat and that he cannot spare the manpower when there are so many other ways to utilize his men,” he answered.

Though internally she was excited about the news as she hated the fact someone followed her around all the time, she quickly hid it, “I’ll be careful, Dad.  I promise.”

“I know you will be,” he got up and headed over to his briefcase. “That’s why I got you this.”

Alyssa got up to accept the box, her eyes widening, “A mobile phone?”

“With summer almost here and the police protection listed, I thought it would be a good idea for you to be able to call for help.  Keep it with you at all times, Aly, but it is intended for emergencies,” he declared seriously.

She nodded, “I understand.”

“But I suppose if you keep working as hard as you have been, I may consider increasing the number of minutes on it,” he winked.

“Thank you, Dad,” she embraced him. “Really.”

“Now go on.  Don’t be a bad hostess to your friend,” he shooed her towards the door.

Finding David in the kitchen, Alyssa led him up to her bedroom.  She plopped down on her bed and opened up the box, while he sat in her desk chair.  They tested the mobile phone after activating it, using her room phone first before calling and leaving a message on his.

Setting the phone on her desk, David moved to sit beside her on the bed, “Okay, spill it.”

Her eyes met his and she batted her eyelashes innocently, “Whatever do you mean?”

“Tell me you at least used a condom.”

Her cheeks turned red, “David!”

“Fuck, Aly, you didn’t?  You’re a smart girl.  You should—”

“We didn’t have sex,” she interrupted.

He stared at her.

“Fine!” her cheeks remained red. “I gave him a blowjob.”

He grinned, “I knew it.  I knew you did something.  How was it?  Did you spit or swallow?”

She slapped his arm, “I’m not telling you that!”

“Did he get you off?  When are you going to see him again?”

“Stop it.  I’m not telling you anymore.”

“Fine, fine,” he grinned. “But now that I know you like to give blowjobs, maybe—”

“I never said I like to.”

David touched her nose, “Then maybe you need to practice more.”

“I told you that I’m not telling you when I’m seeing him again.”

“That’s not what I meant.”

“What did you mean?”

He smirked and motioned down at his lap.  Eyes widening, Alyssa moved away from him, shaking her head.  David instantly laughed, though both now knew he was at least partially erect.  Alyssa kept her eyes on his, fighting her curiosity to look down.  She bit her bottom lip as her eyes wavered.  Still smiling, David stretched out his legs and laid back on the bed.  With his eyes no longer trained on hers, Alyssa stole a glance at his crotch, noticing the bulge in his jeans.  She flushed again and looked away.

“I should probably take you home,” she declared, staring at her closet.

Propping himself up on his elbows, he looked at her, “Why don’t you blo—”

Alyssa stood up abruptly, “I need to study for the AP exam.  So let’s go, okay?”

“Okay, okay,” David got up. “But if you ever change your mind and want some practice…”

“Let’s just go, David.”

Sitting on one of the decks overlooking the water, Chris sipped on a beer while his dogs slept as his feet.  It had been a very successful day.  All of his furniture had been delivered and the plastic wrap discarded.  He was not entirely sure of the pieces placement, but he would wait and consult with Alyssa whenever she came back over.

The bottom floor now contained all of his instruments and meager recording equipment in one of the bedrooms.  The other one bedroom was filled with dog toys and beds, items Alyssa chose for his two big mutts.  Eventually he planned to fill up the bar down there and add more than the single leather couch.  The main level’s rooms did not echo as much, containing couches, chairs, tables, and a couple of rugs on the hardwood floors.  Only the master suite had anything in it upstairs, but he would worry about filling the guest rooms when… he worried about having guests.

Sipping on the beer again, he smirked.  Things seemed to finally be going his way.  He had a beautiful girlfriend, a new house that was quickly becoming a home, and his band was releasing a new album in a few days.  Life was good.

Reaching over to grab a cigarette, he nearly jumped as his cordless phone rang.  Picking up the phone instead of the cigarette pack, Chris looked at the caller ID on the face.  Not familiar with the number, he hesitated to answer.  Deciding it could be Alyssa calling him from somewhere other than her home, he hit the green button and answered it.

“Hey, Chris, it’s—”

“Hey, baby,” he smiled. “I was just thinking about you.”

“Great.  Can you open the garage so I can park inside?”

Chris’s smile instantly increased to a grin, “Absolutely.  Be right there.”

Hanging up the phone, he trotted inside and to the garage.  He quickly pushed the button, glad he had left half the garage empty.  Grinning silly, he watched her pull her black Neon in next to his Porsche and Harley.  He waited until she turned off the car to close the door.

“Hi,” she approached him, standing two steps below.

He leaned down and quickly kissed her, “Hi.”

Alyssa followed him into the house, instantly noticing the furniture had been delivered but not arranged.  At least he had removed the plastic and made an attempt to do something with it.  Chris did not remain in the house at all, but returned to the deck where the dogs still snoozed.  As Alyssa crossed in front of him to sit in the other deck chair, he wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her into his lap.

Giggling, she evaded his kisses, “I can’t stay long tonight.”

He frowned, “No?”

She shook her head, “No.  I really just came for my things.  I have a test tomorrow morning.”

“But the bed is—”

“I can’t, Chris.  Not tonight.”

He exaggerated his frown, “Then when?”

Her fingers danced over his ribs, breaking his frown, “I don’t know, Frowngarden.”

A grin once more lit his face, “I am so not that when you’re around.”

“So I’ve noticed,” she pecked his lips. “But that doesn’t change the fact that I can only stay for about an hour before I need to be going.”

“So much we could do in an hour…”

Alyssa rolled her eyes, “Like play poker.”

“Strip poker?”

“Chris!” she slapped his chest.

He smirked, “Well?”

Alyssa attempted to get out of his lap, but his arms tightened around her waist, “Lemme go.”

“Not until I get a kiss,” he declared.

Her eyes met his and she defiantly pursed her lips together.  His eyes widened and he laughed.  Releasing her waist, his fingers went to her ribs, tickling until she gave up all attempts of keeping a straight face.  She began to giggle and wiggle on his lap, trying to get free from his tickling fingers.  Chris suddenly stopped tickling her, but not because he wanted to free her.  Not in the least.

Alyssa stopped moving and felt his arousal pressing against her ass.  Her eyes returned to his, a slight flush filling her cheeks.  His hands went to her back, holding her close as he kissed her deeply.  With slight hesitation, Alyssa’s arms circled his neck once more as she shifted in his lap to sit more comfortably.

“Lyssie,” he moaned into her mouth, “stay…”

“Chris,” she groaned, trying to pull away from his kiss, “I can’t…”

“Can’t or won’t?”

Before she even had a chance to respond, he cupped her breast and kissed her deeply.  As he massaged her breast, his long fingers rolling her nipple, Alyssa’s resolve began to disappear.  Molten heat began to pool between her legs.  If he knew, she would be unable to resist… anything.  His hand left her breast as his mouth kissed down her neck.  Chris caressed her abdomen before skipping over the waist band of her jeans.  A gasp mixed with a moan left her lips as he cupped her sex, pressing down with the heel of his hand as he did so.

“Chris…” she sighed as he bit her shoulder lightly.

“Come upstairs…”

Alyssa nodded slightly.

Triumph shined in Chris’s eyes and he stood up, keeping her in his arms briefly.  He set her down and kissed her once more.  Taking her hand, he stepped over the dogs, who half-glanced at them, and led Alyssa back into the house.  His eyes caught the reflection of the last of the missed sunset in the microwave door as they passed the kitchen, heading to the stairs.  He smiled at Alyssa as they slowly ascended the steps, excited to show her the bedroom for more than one reason.

He released her hand as they stepped into the master suite and moved to click on the lamp next to the king-sized bed, rather than flicking on the overhead light.  His eyes went to hers, watching as she glanced around at the furniture she chose the day before.

“Well, what do you think?” he asked, approaching her.

Alyssa slipped her arms over his shoulders, “Well… it’s all very nice but not at all where I would put any of it.”

“No?” his hands rested on her hips.

She shook her head, “I would have put the bed on the opposite wall, to better see the view.”

“The only view I want to see is right in front of me.”

Alyssa stared at him for a long moment, biting her bottom lip.  Unable to contain it any more, she burst out laughing.  Chris instantly smiled and laughed along with her.  His hands left her hips and he hugged her tightly, their bodies jiggling until the laughter ceased.

“That was probably your worst line ever, Chris,” she declared, leaning back to look up into his eyes.

He smirked, “It is definitely up there.”

She pulled out of his embrace, her eyes going to the glass doors, “I really need to go, Chris.”

“But, baby,” he whined.

“I have to go study a bit before sleep.”

“But—”

“I’m sorry, Chris,” she headed into the bathroom and gathered up her things. “I really need to do well on this test.  I shouldn’t have let you believe I would stay.  Because I can’t.”

He sighed, leaning on the doorway, “I understand, but can’t you just stay a bit longer?”

“No,” she shook her head. “But I’ll call you when I get home.”

Chris followed her from the bathroom, “What was that number you called me from... when you were here?”

“My dad got me a mobile phone for emergencies today,” she responded. “Where’s my clothes?”

“In the laundry room.  A mobile phone?”

“Oh I’ll just get them next time then,” Alyssa stated. “Yeah.  I don’t have a police car watching me any more, so he thought it was a good idea.  Don’t you start calling me on it all the time though.  I don’t have many minutes.”

“I’ll pay for more,” he quickly offered.

“It’s not about money, Chris,” she headed out of the room, towards the stairs.

“What’s it about?”

“It’s for emergencies,” she declared, turning towards the garage.

“But—”

“Chris,” she warned.

“Okay… okay.  So you’ll call me when you get home?” he asked.

“Yes, of course. But we can’t talk long because of the studying.”

His hand covered hers as she reached for the doorknob to the garage, “Wait.  I have something for you.”

Remaining by the door, Alyssa watched him head into the kitchen and pull open a drawer near the phone.  The dogs immediately trotted in from the deck, thinking he was getting out dog treats.  While Chris did toss two treats at the large beasts, he grabbed something else from the drawer and headed towards her.  She held out her hand and her eyes widened as he placed it in her palm.

“Chris, I can’t…”

“Of course you can.  That way you can come over and park in the garage whenever you want,” he declared, releasing the garage clicker.

She smiled, completely thinking about Cameron’s movie as she dropped the clicker into her purse, “Thanks.”

“Talk to you soon then?” he asked, leaning in for a kiss.

“Absolutely.”
