Title: Alternate Realities: Chapter Ten, Dead Man

With Jane, er Kylia, not going to work that day, Adam fully intended on showing her exactly how a real man treated a woman. He would romance her and show her how truly beautiful she was. And hopefully in doing so, convince her that her boyfriend was a complete ass and needed to be shown the door permanently. Keeping that in mind, Adam quietly called the band while she showered and got ready for the day. After explaining to them, well really Jesse, that he wouldn't be in for the day, he quickly scrambled to think of all the things they could do that day. Cooking her breakfast had been a great start, something easy to build on.

Stepping out of her bedroom, her long brown hair hanging wetly about her shoulders, Adam nearly dropped his phone at the sight of her. Instead he swallowed and ended his call quickly, slipping the phone into his pocket. A grin instantly lit his face as his eyes met hers. He couldn't quite explain why her appearance turned him on so very much. There was a sense of purity, of naivete with her standing there, her hair undone, her face fresh of makeup. She was natural and unpretentious and... everything ever woman in his life had never been before. He couldn't deny their chemistry either.

"Well, I was thinking we could go to—"

"I'd rather not, Adam," Jane interrupted him.

"What? Why not? You don't even know where I was going to—"

"I know who you are and I know how this city functions. If we go out, someone is bound to recognize you and photograph us. I can't risk that, especially when I took a sick day from work, Adam," she answered.

"Oh."

Jane sat on her couch, patting the seat cushion next to her, "So unless your idea is to go someplace where there is no chance of us being photographed then staying here is a better idea."

He slowly sat on the couch next to her, "I understand your... hesitation, Kylia, I do. But what exactly do you suggest we do here?"

She shrugged, "I don't know. I just don't really want you to leave yet."

Adam smiled at that, "Then I won't. Not without you in the least."

Shifting on the couch to face him, she curled into an indian-style pose, tucking her wet locks behind her ears, "So tell me about you."

He smirked, "What do you want to know?"

Watching as Booger jumped up onto the couch and sniffed Adam she smiled, "I dunno. Basic getting to know you stuff. No. Wait. Tell me something I won't find on your wikipedia page."

For a moment Adam's mind was drawing a complete blank. To be honest he had never looked at his wikipedia page so he didn't know what was on it. That made answering her request that much more difficult. And then it suddenly dawned on him. That was the perfect chance to charm her.

"Well," his hand pet the cat that had curled up in his lap, "I'm very attractive to this beautiful woman who is seated on the couch with me."

Her lips parted slightly in surprise, a quick flush filling her cheeks. She looked away, not certain how to react to his statement at all. It was bold and... exciting. Jayden often told her how much he liked her, as boyfriends were supposed to be, but something about Adam's confession threw her completely offguard.

"I'm sorry, Kylia, I didn't mean to—"

"No, no," her eyes went back to his. "It's all right. I was asking for something no one else knows and that's exactly what you told me. Thank you."

He wanted to reach over and touch her ever so gently, but with a cat in his lap it was fairly impossible. His dog was going to hate him coming home smelling like cat.

His dog.

"Uh, would you mind going to my house with me?" he asked. "I need to feed my dog."

Her eyes widened, "You've spent all this time here with a dog at home waiting for you? I'm sure he's crossing his legs now!"

"Well she can get outside without me being there, but I doubt she's been fed. You don't mind, do you?" he gently lifted the cat out of his lap.

"No. Not at all."

That was a small triumph in his mind. He could woo her better on his own turf. Much better.

When the pulled up at the Hollywood house, Jane was a bit nervous. It wasn't like she hadn't been in a house like this before, even the day before she had been in the plush Houdini mansion. But it was something different going to Adam's house. She didn't know why, but it was. He pulled into the garage and opened her door practically before she even had the chance to unbuckle her seatbelt. His hand folded over hers, leading her into the house.

While Adam was probably expecting her to be surprised at the expense of the things they walked by, purposely leading her slowly so she could glance into rooms, Jane wasn't. It wasn't because of his stature either. She had grown up around such things, they weren't as foreign to her as he thought they were. But then again he just thought of her as a dumpy schoolteacher who lived with two cats in a smallish apartment and rode her bike everywhere.

Stopping in front of a half-closed cafe style door, where his dog was kept in her playroom when he wasn't around, Adam glanced at her. He instantly noticed her frown and didn't understand it at all. Ignoring the dog wagging her tail happily at him from the other side of the cafe door, he turned fully to the woman at his side.

"Kylia?"

Her eyes snapped to his and she forced a smile.

"What's wrong?"

"I'm just a dumpy schoolteacher to you, aren't I? Some special project you feel the need to work on," she quickly spouted.

While a million ways to tell her no that wasn't the case ran through his mind, the best response that fought all of them off had nothing to do with words at all. With very little hesistation he pulled her to him and kissed her mouth definitively. She put up absolutely no resistance to his kiss, seemed to instantly melt into him. His hand left hers, his arms curling around her as the kiss deepened. She seemed to press up on her toes, squashing her magnificently real breasts against his chest.

"Does that answer your question?" he breathed when forcing the kiss to end before he was tempted to press her against the wall and make love to her right then.

She nodded, a bit out of breath.

He snuck another quick kiss, before turning to the cafe door, "Prepare yourself. Frankie gets excited around new people."

With her head in Adam's lap, Jane slowly drifted asleep. After taking care of his dog, they had decided to spend the rest of the afternoon at his house, completely protected from anyone taking her picture. After a leisurely game of chess beside the pool, which she was convinced he let her win, they had ducked into his large kitchen. Before too long she was covered with flour and sugar will supposedly assisting him in baking cookies. The dog found it as amusing as they did, barking at the pair every now and then. But cookies were baked, dinner cooked and shared, and the three made their way to the living room. With very little debate, Adam popped in a DVD to watch while Frankie curled up on the floor and Jane on the couch. She quickly pivoted and used Adam's lap as a pillow as soon as he sat. But exhausation took precedence over the movie and her eyelids began to get heavy.

Glancing down at the beauty, Adam's fingers lightly played with her hair. So he hadn't the chance to show her around town, to show her off to everyone. He still felt pretty confident with how the day went. She opened more and more to him. And each stolen kiss was eagerly given. It was a good day. But the sun had set and he probably should take her home. He certainly did not want to, would rather have her stay the night in his arms once more, but that would not necessarily be something she would want.

"Kylia?" he spoke softly, hand no longer stroking her soft hair. "I should probably get you home."

"Don't wanna," she muttered.

"But you have to go and enrich minds tomorrow, sweet," Adam pointed out.

"No, I don't," she argued.

"Of course you do. It's Tuesday."

"Call in sick again. Stay here with you," she mumbled.

While the thought made him smile, since it clearly indicated she thought the day was as nice as he did, he couldn't really allow her to do that, "As much as I would love that, I can't let you, Kylia. But I most certainly will welcome your company after work."

"Will you pick me up at school?"

"Of course," he answered instantly, not even considering how dangerous that could be.

"Then I suppose you can take me home," she sighed, slowly sitting up. "But will you stay until I fall asleep again? I slept better with you than I have alone in a long time."

The guilt was killing her. All through the schoolday her thoughts would drift to the previous day with Adam and then be shot back at her with guilt of cheating on her boyfriend over it. They were just innocent kissed but felt like so much more than the embraces and sex she shared with Jayden. It was wrong, wrong, wrong.

Lunch with Jayden had been filled mostly with silence on her part. He assumed she was still feeling ill from her sick day the day before and didn't push it. Little did he know the real reason she wouldn't meet his gaze. He kissed her chastely before parting to return to his classroom, an action that put Adam's touches in stark contrast. Jayden didn't excite her at all.

It was clear what she had to do. But could she really do it and still work in the same building as he? How would that change her standing with her colleagues? Rubbing her temples while the kids were at recess, she knew she had to do it sooner than later, especially with Adam coming to pick her up after school. She had to cut Jayden out.

When the last of her students headed out of the classroom at the end of the day, Jane gathered her things and headed down the hall to Jayden's classroom. She paused just outside the door, taking a deep breath. Her hand trembled slightly as she reached for the handle. She had to do this, had to. Pressing down on the handle slowly, Jane pushed the door open.

Barely taking a step into the classroom, she froze. Jayden had always kept his desk towards the back of the room, preferring his students to not be able to see him from the hall. She had never really understood it before. But then again she had never pictured her boyfriend fucking his student teacher on his desk before. For a moment she was completely frozen where she was, watching as his dick disappeared into the co-ed under cover of her skirt. It wasn't until he moaned that he was going to cum that Jane snapped out of it.

And reached for the nearest eraser in the chalkboard tray and threw it at him, beaning him in the back of the head.

The couple instantly froze, not even disengaging in their coupling, frozen in those final clutches, barely figuring out what had just happened.

Jane said nothing but turned and stomped out of the room, letting his door slamming speak for her. She was surprised tears didn't even threaten, even surprised at the way the anger was quickly disappearing. He had just made her guilt over Adam vanish.

How long had Jayden been fucking his student teacher? Weeks? Months? Since the beginning of school? How long had he been laughing over the fact he had been getting away with it while supposedly dating and loving her? Oh he certainly wasn't going to let him get away with it. Not at all. She wasn't going to be the laughingstock anywhere.

Taking a turn down the hallway away from the parking lot where Adam surely waited, Jane stalked into the administrative office. She didn't even glance at the secretary or the other teachers milling about finishing up their day's work. Her gaze was firmly on the principal's office and she headed directly into it.

"I suggest you call the police, sir. Mr. Jones has his cock buried deeply in his student teacher right now and I highly doubt that's a good thing," she spat before turning around and hurrying out of the office just a quickly as she had entered.

What happened after she left, Jane didn't care. She was getting out of that school as quickly as possible. She had a real man to spend time with.

Pushing the exterior door open, her eyes quickly scanned the very few vehicles parked by the curb. Her eyes instantly brightened and a smile lit her face upon seeing one very familiar SUV. Trying to push the image of her boyfriend — no, ex-boyfriend — stuffing the co-ed from her mind, she trotted over to the vehicle and knocked on the window. It quickly rolled down.

"Hey there, handsome. You come to rescue me?" she asked softly.

Seeing something he didn't quite recognize in her eyes, Adam quickly replied, "But of course, my lady."

"Good. Get me the fuck out of here," Jane muttered as she pulled the door open and climbed in.

Rolling the window back up after he restarted the car, he glance at her as she buckled in, "What happened?"

"Jayden fucking another woman in his classroom is what happened," she spat.

Adam flinched, "Do you believe me that he's an asshole and not good enough for you now?"

"Oh yes. I better not cross paths with him again. Ever," Jane growled. "He'll be a dead man."

"Oh trust me, darling, he won't get that far. He won't make it past me."
